Salem Street Pub

We got to Salem Street Pub pretty much every Friday night. The food is always very good and the service is quick and friendly. We have even taken out of town relatives there for dinner and they want to go back every time they come to visit. The burgers are definitely the best around!! more

I believe in constructive not destructive reviews, but this time I need to say...I give. My family and I have been into this Pub several times, and each time I walk out with this same thought; ""why do I keep trying?"" Here it is; 1. OK food (Patty Melt and Burgers topping the list) 2. Lots of TVs for football fans! 3. Cute atmosphere (love the James Taylor lyrics on the wall) 4. OK service, however, very unfriendly. When I see the manager/owner rolling her eyes at the customers (who happened to be us the LAST time we were in there), there's not much hope for the waitresses either. 5. Beer and Liquor selection is weak. 6. Lastly - the town/area needs a bar that will stay open past 10 or 11pm. My suggestion is this; if you don't like people or late nights, don't own/operate/work in a bar. I won't support consistent bad attitudes paired with just OK food. Sorry. more

I went here after my hair cut at Syeni. Walking distance from them. I went for a burger it was amazing! service was okay not excellent by any means but food was sooo good more

I used a buy one get one free coupon for our party of 4 and the waitress took off the least expensive meal. When I questioned her, she referred me to the manager (who identified herself as an owner). The owner refused to use the coupon for a more expensive item and became extremely rude to both me and my mother, very quickly. I can't even imagine talking to a customer or other person the way she talked to us- she even threw several insults at me. Don't go here for customer service! They have a great selection of NC beers on tap. The atmosphere is warm and the staff is great. We are happy to have this place in our town. Pros: Best Food in Apex more

My husband and I were so excited for downtown Apex to have a pub. But, we have been very dissappointed. The food is way below average. They don't even have a good beer selection. Also, a pub should stay open later on the weekends, but we were told when we asked why they closed so early, that they really didn't want the ""bar crowd"" in there. News flash...its A BAR! Hands down the best burgers in the area! I thought Red Robin had good burgers until Salem Street Pub (SSP) came to town. Located in the space formerly occupied by the Salem Street Soda Shop, the pub offers great beers and a great atmosphere! It's wonderful to have a pub locally owned an operated... a pub my husband and I can walk to... situated in downtown historic Apex. The owners are charming and really care about their customers. They always solicit customer opinions of the local micro-brews they have on tap and they keep it fresh by switching it up often. Their service with a smile has never let us down and they had big shoes to fill! Happy one year anniversary, SSP. Here's to many more! Pros: Locally owned and Operated more
