The experience at Sala is quite good considering its slitgly industrialized location. A bit of a hard find on Northern, it is situated between different car shops and a rental agency. Considering that part of Flushing is quite the Greek neighborhood, it isn't the fisrt and only dining place for that ype of cuisine, but it is the first in terms of wine, service, and food. I went on a Friday night. They weren't packed by any means, but maybe because I was nearing closing time. Thw waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful in selecting wines for my date and I. We ordered a few appetizers tapas style *they all range from 5-16), and shared a main course of Sala Seafood Royale for 2 (mussels, clams, shrimp). After dessert and coffe, our bill ran to about 120. The staff gave us an extra dessert platter on the house. Te food was to die for, with the flavors being just right, and the Greek music made me feel like I was on a trip in Thessaloniki. I recoomend it to anyone from the hood, and not just to Greeks. Their English is proficient, and their main courses are friendly to both Greeks, and non-Greeks. I highly recommend this restaurant. The place is new and I only see it getting better, soon I plan to book a big burthday bash there.
