Sala Bar & Grill

It was fantastic!... everything from the food and service to the atmosphere and mood. Its a unique experience you will NOT find anywhere in the area. Ive been there plenty of times and will keep on going. its a great place for a romantic dinner with that special someone and yet a great place for a hangout with your buddies. It serves as a cafe, restaurant and BAR all in ONE! If you dont believe me about how great this place realy is.... Just try it... take my word ....YOU WILL LOVE IT! more

Me and my boyfriend tried this place last week, basically in a nut shell, the food was okay but the same as any Greek restaurant, we sat outside which was nice since it was a beautiful night, but the service was horrible!! I mean the worst service, all we did was wait! They forgot to bring things out to us! It was just not worth it! more

This place is easy to miss because of its location,\r but its one of the best in Flushing, specially along Northern Blvd.\r The place is cozy and really hip. They have a private room for parties too!\r Dinning in the patio is not bad either and the service is superb!\r You can even have a good catching up conversation and the staff will not try to kick you out!\r I love this place! The experience at Sala is quite good considering its slitgly industrialized location. A bit of a hard find on Northern, it is situated between different car shops and a rental agency. Considering that part of Flushing is quite the Greek neighborhood, it isn't the fisrt and only dining place for that ype of cuisine, but it is the first in terms of wine, service, and food. I went on a Friday night. They weren't packed by any means, but maybe because I was nearing closing time. Thw waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful in selecting wines for my date and I. We ordered a few appetizers tapas style *they all range from 5-16), and shared a main course of Sala Seafood Royale for 2 (mussels, clams, shrimp). After dessert and coffe, our bill ran to about 120. The staff gave us an extra dessert platter on the house. Te food was to die for, with the flavors being just right, and the Greek music made me feel like I was on a trip in Thessaloniki. I recoomend it to anyone from the hood, and not just to Greeks. Their English is proficient, and their main courses are friendly to both Greeks, and non-Greeks. I highly recommend this restaurant.
