This is my favorite local sushi spot. I'm really picky when it comes to the quality of sushi because of my favorite spot in Queens. This place comes in close second and they have some pretty good prices. I usually get my food way before the expected time, but other than that they always come in the time frame. Definitely try this place. And if you don't like sushi, I find that their menu has some pretty great choices besides sushi. more

Quality Food in the Area 3/6/2008

I live a couple of blocks from Sakura. The usual types of food spots around here include pizza places, a couple of Spanish restaurants, Mc Donald's, etc. Generally, not many places where you can sit down for a nice meal in a quality setting.\r Sakura is very clean, has a friendly staff, and serves quality/fresh food. If this place was in Manhattan, I would have dropped a star, as there are far more selections in the city. However, given this area, this place is far and above and other local dining choices Pros: Good food, good service, clean restaurant Cons: A local place, so hard to get to for some. more

Excellent sushi in Queens! 7/11/2007

I live in the neighborhood and was apprehensive to try this place. There aren't many good sushi places around in this area. After a year my husband and I finally tried this place and we were delightfully surprised. The fish is always fresh here. I love the specialty rolls. The staff is always friendly. We had a few friends dine with us here and everyone was pleased. Sakura has become our neighborhood favorite. We will be moving out of Glendale soon but we will making frequent trips back to this spot for our sushi fix. more
