I made several trips to the ER last year and the staff was always very friendly and compassionate. However the billing department was another story. Zero willingness to work out a payment plan even after receiving the bulk of payment from insurance. Multiple bills sent demanding payment in full.\r

My father had the same problem with their cancer treatment center. His insurance covered 100% of his treatments yet every time he went in for chemo he had to visit the billing department first to let them know how he intended to pay and every time he pointed out to them that his insurance covered his treatment in full. I can only imagine the stress this treatment would cause someone struggling to pay for their life saving treatments.\r

I completely understand the hospital requires payment. But I do feel St Francis is completely uncaring and callous when it comes to money.
