Sail Inn Motel

I do not recommend this place to anyone. The website claims the rates are between $45.95-60.95, but I was charged $75. I never got a cold shower throughout the entirety of my stay and I tried at various hours of the day. I discovered bed bugs in my room and when I went to find management to switch rooms and notify them of the problem, the office was closed and nobody answered the emergency contact number. I waited around for an hour before some young kid finally came to my assistance. He was very nice, but that does not take away from the awful service. The room was out of date with a decades old fridge and microwave, old blood-stained bedding, and beds that were so sunken in I could hardly walk the next day. It is amazing to me that this place is still in business. more

Although this place is no five star nor high class, it is pretty awsome. I heard it just recently got under new ownership and managent so i headed there during a trip to storm lake to visit my family. The staffs were all very friendly and made us feel very comftorable. The hosuekeepers were also extremely kind in doing what we had asked. The view is amazing and the prices are reasonable. I plan on going back to storm lake in july and have already made my reservations for the Sail Inn Motel. more

The staff was extremely friendly! Answering all my questions, very polite. always willing to help with anything I may need! I did read a prior review and asked all the question pertaining to the review and asked to see the rooms for myself to get a good idea before I accepted a stay! They willingly took me through there various rooms and responded to all the unpleasant things said about the motel! They did have a few rooms that were not exactly lovely but they explained how the rooms were for contractors who were staying for long periods of time! I would say the best rooms where 49-54, 51 and 54 having a great view of the lake which is were I stayed! The price was very reasonable! Especially with the view I got!
