Saigon Cuisine Restaurant

You walk into an asian restaurant and you see a fork setting on the table and the customers are non asian... what does that say about the place? The place is catered towards non asian and thats why they can jack up the price. When ppl see high prices they expect the food to be decent quality, but it's so not the case. But i guess to pay for a meal so expensive in that place, atleast the setting is decent. more

The service was great, the food was average, but the price was OUTRAGEOUS! I was the first person seated for lunch and was pretty excited...I love Vietnamese food and have had it everywhere! I was a bit concern when customers started coming in and there was NO Asian person in sight but I was still optimistic. (that's usually a sign that it's not an authentic restaurant...I'm not trying to be racial). I ordered the spring rolls, Saigon Noodle Soup and iced coffee...The total came to $18, it's a bit much for lunch and for Vietnamese food. The spring rolls were nice but the soup was very, very bland and not authentic at all. I will not visit this restaurant but look forward to trying out other Vietnamese Restaurants in the area. If you have a taste for Asian food but you're tired of the pre-cooked, one-size-fits-all from your local take out, try Saigon. This place has the most pleasing tastes, sometimes spicy, but all-around great dishes. We have been there many times when even one of the waiters sings and makes jokes. Our absolute must is the spring rolls because they come in a chewy wrap instead of the crispy fried kind we are all accustomed to. And the peanut sauce on the side is awesome! Pros: The food, the service, the price. Cons: They have one of those awkward waiting areas so if there is more than 3 people waiting, it is cumbersome to find a spot to stand. more

My mother took me here when I visited her in Greensboro. She's a vegetarian, who eats fish, but that didn't limit our dining options at all. Everything we ate was fresh, spicy and wonderfully filling. Pros: Great service Cons: High Point Rd. locale more
