Saffron proved to be a great location to visit a high school friend that I hadn't seen in-person since 1985 and meet his family for the first time. The restaurant accepted our reservation, and easily accommodated our party of 8 comfortably. Like most Indian restaurants, there were plenty of vegetarian and non-veg options on the menu. The following items were wonderful: butter chicken; tandoori chicken; channa masala; aloo gobhi; basmati rice; naan; papad. For each of our dishes, the server gave us 3 levels of spicyness from which to choose: mild, medium, and hot. The music playing throughout the sound system consisted primarily of Indian film songs, and the volume never affected our table-side conversation. After our dinner, the host was happy to take a group photo of us in front of the expansive buffet table which is used exclusively for lunch.
