The technician arrived on time and performed an inspection of our gas furnace flue. We were informed there was some build up in the stack, not enough to cause faulty furnace performance, and gave us the option of whether or not to do a cleaning. We had him clean it, and the price was what we were quoted over the phone. No surprises! more

I am always pleased when I have my chimney serviced by SAFESIDE. The workers are completely professional and courteous. This time I had my air ducts cleaned as well as my Chimney. I thought it would leave a mess but the guys cleaned everything up. I wouldn't have even known they were there. Also, the price was lower than I expected! I highly recommend them. more

OMG I have never been so motivated to tell the world what horrible people work for this company. I feel compelled to share my story so that what happened to me does not happen to others, All I needed was to have my chimney cleaned but they came with a bill of good and i feel that if you need chimney services in the Fairfield, Stamford, East Hartford, Norwalk, Greenwich or Bridgeport area you really should find someone else! more

Do NOT USE this company!!! Completely unprofessional! They "said" they ordered me a pellet stove based on thier last best deal- but obviously they didn't or just didn't want to honor their contract (which I verbally agreed to or else I'd be taking them to court). I verbally agreed to their written estimate with "Dale" and was trasferred to "Tim" the "pellet stove expert". Anyway "Tim", said I needed a larger fireplace cover and that they were ordering it but it would take 6 weeks. I called after 3, finding it strange that they would special order an item for me even without taking money. I called 2X and didn't get a return call. "Dale" said he would have "TIM" call me to verify that the cover was indeed ordered. Apparently "Tim" is the only person in the entire company that can check the status of an order.... Finally at 6 weeks I called back and not only did they keep me on hold for 15 minutes (after i told the receptionist my name) then the bastards diconnected me!!! When i called back 2x w/in the next 5 minutes the call went straight to voice mail. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE!!!! RUN THE OTHER WAY!!!!! THANKS FOR NOTHING DALE and TIM FROM SAFESIDE CHIMNEY!!! SCAM ARTISTS!!!! on a happy note, I ended up getting a MUCH better deal at Home Depot. PS> I tried to file a complaint w/ the BBB, but because there wasn't a financial transaction involved only an indident report can be filed- and that doesn't affect their rating. If this hasn't deterred you from using them, call the BBB and ask for details on other existing incident reports out there.... And if anyone from this joke of a company ever reads this, all you had to do was tell me that you didn't order the cover. For whatever reason- you forgot- whatever.... you should have told me this when I called 3 weeks into the 6 weeks I waited. It would have been frustrating, yes, but a lot more professional then what you did which was COMPLETELY BLOW ME OFF!!!!
