Ruth's Chris could learn a few things here. Whenever I come to Sonoma I eat at Saddles. Come to think of it, I actually come to Sonoma to eat at Saddles. Best steak I've ever had, and I eat meat on a regular basis. But if you don't want a big slab of beef there are plenty of other equally stunning menu choices such as fresh fish, great salads, or my personal favorite, the pork chop. But make sure to save room for dessert. The creme brulee is a classic, and the giant slice of chocolate cake takes you right back to your childhood, but if you feel like something lighter check out the seasonal fruit crisps.
Pros: Great restaurant, art work, library, wine and cheese receptions, spa, friendly staff, gardens
