Great place to have fun without Hollywood congestion. Food is great, portions huge. I go on Friday or Saturday nights for the party. Probably not the best crowd for people who are afraid to party with young, drunk, horny kids under 25. Some say the drinks are expensive but the caraffes are huge, only about 12 bucks, and they give you a LOT of booze. Just one lasts me til closing time (about 2am). The downside to that is since they close so early, I'm still left really drunk, but you're forced to leave CityWalk and go straight to your car. If you're the driver, keep that in mind. So, if you're looking for a convenient location, good food, generous drinks, and the chance to meet tons of young, horny drunkards, Saddle Ranch CityWalk is the place for you. We thought this would be a fun place to have a birthday gathering, so I made reservations for a group of twenty, and confirmed them by phone 2 weeks in advance. But upon arrival we found that the seating staff would not honor our reservation. We were told that 'no reservations are guaranteed', and we had a two-hour wait. Staff was rude, and to add insult to injury, told a handicapped guest that he could ""find himself seating at the bar"" yet would not assist him when there were no seats available. Fun place to go for a large group? NOT, unless you go on an off night where the place isn't over-crowded to the point of being near-unmanageable, and being misrun by power-trip-hungry maitre'd's. During particuarly stressful times at work, I've hit this place up with a buddy to check out the girls, drink pitchers of booze, and nearly break our necks on the mechanical bull. The operator will tell you he'll go easy on you if you tip him, but I was still thrown off fairly quickly even after slipping him $5. Oh well. The karaoke can be fun to watch, particularly when either you or the singer are inebriated. Unfortunately, the girls all want to sing the same six songs and before long it gets annoying. One highlight was when a skinny Jewish kid got up and did an absolutely perfect rendition of ""My Name Is"" by Eminem (including explitives) and got the crowd pumped! Saddle Ranch Chop House is a great place to go if you're a sports fan. You are able to cheer on your favorite sports team while also enjoying some good food. The service is really good. Selected Saddle Ranch for a dinner party, based on the fun & casual ambiance of the Sunset location. In reality, theyve maintained the exorbitant drink prices with a lacking location, questionable crowd and appalling service. Most disgusting moment: the bus boy mopping the table AS WE WERE STILL EATING. Had the pleasure of the wet rag smacking my elbow and having to play tug-o-war over the unfinished fries he was in a hurry to clear. Be prepared to show id at every turn, even when visibly of age, and have an id in hand to accompany each drink ordered buying rounds is an exercise in futility. as soon as i turned 21 i knew i had to try this place. If youre looking for a place to go at night that's not exactly a club, this is the place to be. It is free to get in(you have to pay for parking but hey carpool and youre only paying about $5), drinks may be pricey but worth it because they usually sell their mixed drinks in the orange juice carafs from denny's. more

My Girlz & I went 4 the first time this Sat & it was krackin Da beginnin it was kinda borin cuz people were jus drinkin, chillin. Kinda fun watchin DruNkass FoolZ tryin 2 ride da bull & guyz gettin off on the girls ridin it, by 12 they started playin real music & became a mini night club. u couldn't get thru cuz it was so pack! people were dancin on the bar tables n everywhere. the line so long from outside. i luv da fact it was so diverse. people were there 4 a gud time. Not enuff guyz out there or maybe there was but jus didnt have enuff ballz 2 dance wit da girlz. had a gud experience i'm 4 sho comin back i mean, who needz 2 pay fo a club when u can meet da same foolz at this bar ShouT Out 2 O.C.!! This place was terrible! We had a party of 15 for lunch, and the place was completely empty. We faxed our order in early, but we shouldn't have bothered - they didn't have anything ready for us when we got there. The food took so long to finally get to the table, and it came out about 5 minutes apart at random times (after waiting over an hour for the food). My drink never got refilled, I had to ask the waitress 3 times, I was dying of thirst! I never got a refill though. The cobb salad I had was absolutely disgusting, and completely not worth the price. Okay, so for those who don't like the unsavory party atmosphere, don't frequent this joint. The food was amazing, but better than that were the drinks.
