I chose this venue on a whim (through citysearch), as a surprise outing for me & 3 friends, so none of us had ever heard of either the theatre or the play - Act a Lady. We had no expectations of what our experience would be like, & yet we exited raving about it all.\r

The theatre itself is very intimate & allows the audience to be drawn into the production. Without providing a review of the particular play itself or of all of the incredibly talented actors in it, I want to stress that it was truly a unique experience on a variety of different levels. I am still thinking & talking about what we saw there, but its multi-layeredness does not mean esoteric or only for intellectuals - it was completely accessible to whatever depth the viewer wishes to accede.\r

The crowd did not have a particular 'type', so all of us felt comfortable & were treated well by the staff. I purchased tickets very easily online, & when I emailed the theatre to inquire whether the tickets would be mailed, I received an immediate reply that they would be at will-call.\r

Sacred Fools Theatre is exactly why neighborhood arts should be supported & enjoyed.
