The best Vet. 10/5/2010

We have been taking All of our babies to Oak Ridge to see Dr. Sacks for about 14 years. They are the best. We have also tried other vets for convenience sake and of course went back to Dr. Sacks. When our baby, Be'la was dying, Dr. Sacks was wonderful and was kind enough to come to our home to give him peace. I highly recommmend them to everyone with critters. more

Great Grooming for difficult animals 1/5/2009

I have a cat who is getting on in years, and she is quite cranky at times. She has extremely long hair that unfortunately has a tendency to become quite tangled and matted very quickly. The employees here assured me they would be able to take care of her. They give her sedation and then give her a "lion cut". We take our cat in the summer and it usually lasts about a year before we have to go back. They are wonderful with animals and are willing to keep her overnight at no extra charge, as she becomes extremely cranky and mean upon waking from her sedation. If you have a pet that is difficult to groom, I would suggest bringing them here. more

Above & beyond care 11/7/2008

We would like to thank Oak Ridge Animal Hospital for the great care they provide for our dog. We normally take our dog with us when we travel, this is due to the fact that we had not been able to find a place where we felt comfortable leaving him. Until last year, when we tried Oak Ridge Animal Hospital, we will call during the day and get updates on our baby and they will provide us with feedback as to how he was doing. When we pick him up he always seems happy, energetic & playful. We can tell he is loved and well taken care of. This has made it easier for us to travel, knowing that the staff really cares for our baby when we are not there. Pros: Knowledgeable & friendly staff more

Thanks to all of the staff at Oak Ridge Animal Hospital 11/4/2008

I had a really hard decision to make for my 17 year old dog. After looking into her big brown eyes I could tell it was time.(She could not fight anymore) I called the office after hours and they were glad\r to meet me.They will never know what it means to me to know she spent her last few minutes with people who really care. The hug and the encouraging words that the vet spoke to us made it so much easier for me and my family. more

THREW THE GOOD TIMES AND THE BAD TIMES THEY HAVE ALWAYS BEEN HERE FOR ME 9/18/2008

I HAVE TAKEN MY PETS TO OAKRIDGE ANIMAL HOSPITAL FOR 7 YEARS AND LIKE MOST PEOPLE I HAVE TRIED OTHER VET HOSPITALS THAT I WAS NOT HAPPY WITH. THERE IS A SPECIAL FEELING THAT YOU GET WHEN YOU WALK IN SOME WHERE AND YOU JUST NO THAT THEY ARE THERE FOR THE RIGHT REASON AND THAT THEY ENJOY THERE JOBS. MY DOGS CAN NOT WAIT TO GET ON THE TABLE TO SEE ALL THE GIRLS AND SEE WHAT COOKIES ARE WAITING FOR THEM.SOMEONE ONCE TOLD ME THAT PETS CAN PICK UP GOOD AND BAD IN PEOPLE AND I BELIEVE THATS TRUE AND IF YOU ASK MY FOUR LEGGED FRIENDS THEY WOULD TELL YOU THAT THIS IS A SAFE AND LOVING ANIMAL HOSPITAL THAT YOUR PETS WOULD LOVE TOO.. Pros: TRUSTING,CARING,GOOD HOURS,CLEAN HOSPITAL,GREAT STAFF Cons: WOULD NOT CHANGE ANYTHING more

Oak Ridge Animal Hospital ended Susie's life 6/27/2008

My wife and I take very good care of our furry companions. They are our children. That is why we were totally unprepared for what happened on May 30 when we brought our 9 year old beagle Susie to Oak Ridge Animal Hospital to have her teeth cleaned. They called my wife an hour or so after she was dropped off to tell us that she had died. They could not offer an explanation at the time but later admitted that a mistake had been made with the anesthesia machine where a valve was not set properly resulting in Susie not getting oxygen during the procedure. She died as a result of their mistake. more

Good Animal Care 6/22/2006

I took our siamese cat to this vet for shots only for several years. This cat hated riding in the car much less going to the vet. He had to have valium before every visit. On one of the last visits to this vet I had given him the valium at the prescribed time and he still acted up. He somehow got out of the carrier and bit one of the assistants. I felt so bad but they acted like it was just all in a day's work. I thought they were very professional and just kept talking about how beautiful this pure bred cat was although he had bit someone and created quite a raucous. They are very good about reminding you by mail when your pet needs his vaccinations. Fairly easy to get an appointment. Easy access to Highway 68. PROS: Professional and knowledgeable CONS: None more
