We love this place! Even my 4 year old nephew loves this place. You get served HUGE portions at reasonable pricing. I will be back before the week is over! Pros: Outdoor seating, service, food! Cons: didn't find any...so far more

I live over an hour away and often drive down for their breakfast 6/15/2007

Sabrina's is quite simply the best place for breakfast in Philadelphia. Not only do they offer several specials each day, but they also have a great deal of choices on their standard menu (from their breakfast burrito, which I believe is called the Barking Chihauau - sp? to their pancakes to their apple/cheddar omelet). I've also been for lunch, which is great (though fo on the later side - 1pmish - to miss the brunch crowd). for those complaining about the wait, if you get there before 9:30am, you should be in good shape -- before 9am if you have more than 4 people. Pros: Food, service, coffee, cute setting Cons: Parking more

best breakfast 6/9/2007

One of the best brunch places in the city...get there early on the weekend to avoid the wait (and you'll understand why it takes so long). Or go at night for dinner. Best home fries in the city. Pros: breakfast, home fries, burgers Cons: n/a more

Tired of waiting? Try Butcher's Cafe. 5/21/2007

Recently a friend called Sabrina's for a dinner reservation and was told that they do not take reservations. Our party of five agreed to wait a half hour, as told by the staff. After an hour and a half and being told several times that we were ""next on the list"", we were bumped by a party who claimed to have reservations. My friend who made the initial call pleaded our case, to no avail. So we went across the street to Butcher's Cafe and had a meal every bit as good as anything I'd had at Sabrina's. Minus the wait. more

Great Brunch in the Italian Market area 4/4/2007

Sabrina's is a great place for brunch. All of the food was very good and the portions are pretty decent size as well. Although they don't accept reservations, I called in ahead of time and put my name in, and was seated about 5 minutes after I got there. Pros: Brunch Cons: Long waits w/ no reservations, Parking more

Sabrina's Cafe poses the most important question: ""wow"" vs. ""food"". Pros: very nice menu, good food, good staff Cons: the wait, artificial demand more

Great Brunch, but be prepared to wait 11/19/2006

Sabrina's in the best brunch, that I've ever had, bar none. The food is amazing, the service is very friendly and fast, and the restaurant itself is adorable. I have been three times now on the weekends and the only downside that I have found to Sabrina's is that you definitely have to be patient when waiting to be seated. Each time we have had to wait over an hour. Also, be sure to dress warm because you will be waiting outside. They have great hot chocolate while you're waiting, though, and it's worth waiting outside for a bit once you get in and have your brunch. Pros: Price, Food, Service Cons: Long Wait to be Seated more

Like a great New York brunch place without the attitude 11/19/2006

This place was great! Gets pretty busy on Sunday for brunch but well worth the wait. I had the ""Fallen for ""Fall."" It was delicious and creative. Never had anything with those combinations - tasted great. I lived in New York last year and brunch was my favorite meal. The quaint restaurant reminded me a places in New York but the service at Sabrina's was so much better. The waiters and waitresses are really nice and sweet - no unecessary attitudes. more

Cute atmosphere 11/17/2006

The old school farmhouse look is really cute. The food was okay, but a little bland. Maybe I didn't order well with the apple and cheddar omelette. I did love the potatoes, coffee, and hot chocolate. Service though was sweet and nice, but forgot our order of bacon and was a little slow. It was a busy Sunday morning. Our wait outside was about 15 minutes. The atmosphere was great, but for food and the same wait, I'd rather go to Morning Glory or even Marathon Cafe. more

ADORABLE, Great, Fantastic 10/7/2006

My first trip to Philly for a hardware convention. Was told about Sabrina's by another waitress at Ruth's Chris for great Sunday breakfast. EXCELLENT atomsphere, loved the music the food everything! Plenty of staff which at first was weird cause we were the only ones there but then holy cow the whole place was full! I see why now! Taxi driver got us lost and we walked 8 blocks to get there after the taxi dumped us but WORTH EVERY STEP!!! Pros: ATMOSPHERE, MUSIC, PORTIONS Cons: Taxi ride there!!! more

BEST CAFE 7/10/2006

For the past two years since living in Philly, I have frequented this place at least once a month. It is practically a staple in my diet. I have never been dissappointed, service is always wonderful but more importantly the food is consistant. I have not been dissappointed yet and all of my out of towners, esp from NYC and DC know that this is THE place we go for brunch always when they visit me. I always get the Special Salads, they are delicious and the dressings are so creative. And the special pancakes, although some may sound weird with the combination of ingredients, I've yet to be dissappointed. If you go early on Sunday around 10am there is hardly a wait, they also have ""call-ahead"" seating available. I tend to go for lunch during the weekdays which isn't so bad, unfortunately if you show up primetime on sunday then there is going to be a very long wait. Pros: Strong Coffee, fresh oj, BIG portions Cons: long waits more

Not worth the wait 4/25/2006

While I agree that Sabrina's serves an excellent brunch menu, their service leaves much to be desired. After waiting two and a half hours(!) to be seated for brunch one Sunday--during which time the hostess told us several times that our party was ""next on the list""--my party of three walked across the street to the Butcher's Cafe, where we were seated in less than five minutes. I ordered challah stuffed French toast -- the same thing that I wanted to order at Sabrina's -- and it was just as good. Sabrina's has a great menu, but they need to learn how to take reservations! Pros: Inexpensive, Good brunch menu Cons: No parking, Crowded, No reservations more

Another dazzling review... 3/27/2006

I feel like I'm just going to reiterate what 99% of the reviewers have already said, but I truly LOVE this place! Having moved to the area fairly recently, I happened to stumble upon Sabrina's without having heard about it, and now I go back for Saturday or Sunday brunch at least once or twice a month. The food is fantastic, always plentiful, and comes out very fast. Sucks having to wait for a table, but it's usually worth it. Pros: excellent food, so many choices!, reasonably priced Cons: waiting for a table more

The best brunch around 9/13/2005

The best brunch you will ever find! The only food recommendation I can give is to go more than once so you can try everything! The omelets, the pancakes, the French toast, the turkey club, the Caesar salads, the eggs benedict, and daily specials are just fabulous!!! The service is always friendly and fast. Sabrina's really brings all different kinds of people together with their delicious food! I love it here so much and can't say enough good things about Sabrina's! Pros: Food, Service, Value Cons: Long wait b/c everyon, LOVES IT HERE!! more

Party of 30 - EXCELLENT food & service!! 9/13/2005

I hosted a Surprise Birthday for my husband last weekend and it was fantastic! Everyone had a great time, the food was EXCELLENT - the guests all thought the food was great. The service was perfect, they were very attentive and the owner Robert was there to help too. The atmosphere was great, just like Soho New York. Sabrina's is a favorite brunch place for our family, but earlier this year we had dinner there and we were surprised to find the dinner food was just as good! I was so happy that Sabrina's could accomodate our party, it truely was a night to remember. One more thing.. my husband and I stopped in 4 years ago, one week after their restaurant opened and we had a nice chat with the owner's wife (I'm forgetting her name), she told us they named the cafe after their daughter. So sweet. Pros: AWESOME FOOD, EXCELLENT SERVICE, GREAT ATMOSPHERE Cons: hard to find parking more

Great food; great value 8/7/2005

Great dinner last night at Sabrina's Cafe. Food was delightfully prepared; very tasty and pleasing to the eye; great use of herbs on the Greek salad (which I highly recommend; great to share the large one with a party of four). Service was excellent. We sat at a table on the sidewalk and enjoyed the night air (which actually was comfortable). Nice varied menu and great deserts. It's a real find. Pros: great service, varied menu more

believe the hype 11/16/2004

I finally had a chance to check out Sabrina's after hearing raves about their brunch. I heard to call ahead to be placed on the wait list for Sunday brunch, so when I arrived -the wait was barable. I must say, the incredible food and great service definitely lived up to its reputation. The only negative was that there were too many menu choices. All of their specials sounds so good, it was hard to make up my mind. I finally decided on the pumpkin pancakes and they were probably the best I ever had in my life! This place is definitely worth checking out. I am looking forward to going back again, but maybe even for dinner next time. Pros: creative menu, friendly service more

great for brunch 5/4/2004

The French toast is enormous in size and I couldn't put my fork down even though I was full! The only downside is that it's very busy, so expect to wait for seating for brunch. It is worth the wait however! Unfortunately for sunday brunch reservations can't be made for a party less than 6. Pros: great brunch more
