Service + Skilled treatments 5/21/2006

The walk-in of the medical spa is quite much like a doctor's visit but with many mondernized attributes -- the decor, offered tea, and cleanliness. Everyone working there provided skilled hands, knowledgeable product and treatment advice, with no pressure to buy. Their pricing list is above average; but their treatments are very good and effective. My friends and I were scheduled for one appt each, but ended up getting more treatments (w/out appts). Dr. Colvin, Katie, & Jamie are incredible 3/8/2006

I've suffered from adult acne for almost ten years on and off. My last episode was incredibly difficult for me as no conventional treatments seemed effective. Frustrated one Saturday, I called SKN medical spa. They were able to fit me in that day, and together we established an action plan that has worked. Specifically, the ALA treatment/Obagi line. I can't say enough about how wonderful everyone was. Not only did I receive exceptional medical care, but I also feel like I made three new friends. Words can not express my gratitude! more

Just Great 1/27/2006

I LOVE my laser hair removal. No more shaving is just a miracle. The treatment is not very uncomfortable and Dr. Colvin explains everything as he goes. Dr. Colvin is smart and friendly. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about the wonderful products they offer. I highly recommend making an appointment. more

Smart, safe, skilled, and ... friendly 1/22/2006

I'd been pitched hair removal before and found unrealistic promises and pressure sales tactics. I was skeptical of SKN b/c I saw people calling him ""Dr. Rob,"" which sounded gimmicky. It was the opposite. The doctor and his nurse practitioner (who has three more years education than an RN) were smart, realistic, down to earth, and experienced. My laser hair removal was fast and the nurse slowed down at the few times than it hurt a bit (75% of the time I couldn't feel it). And they didn't make decide if I wanted the multi-session discount package until I'd gone through the first session. I am definitely going back. Beautiful office, competitive prices, Saturday appts. Pros: Experienced/Skilled, Friendly, No sales pressure Cons: Difficult Parking, Dr. 20 min. late more

Wedding Prep 1/18/2006

This place is perfect for any bride to be. I went before my wedding and got a package of peels and I felt great for the big day! I recommend going with your mom or bridesmaids and make a day out of it! The staff helps you make the best decision about your skin and what you want done. They are great to work with and funny too! The space is relaxing and well done. They usually have chocolates on the table too ! You can't beat that. Pros: new, friendly, great advice more

The additional services, Botox, Restalin, etc are all the best work I have had done. Dr. Rob is very gentle and the procedures were painless. The finished product is amazing and I am so completely satisfied. I will be back again. The rest of the staff is also a pleasure to work with and very professional. Got talked into trying out the laser hair removal by a friend, and I have to say, I am pretty damn pleased with the results. Dr Rob is a great guy, really put me at ease. Definitely a repeat buyer. more

Glowing SKN 8/7/2005

I came to SKN to seek treatment for my hyperpigmentation/sun damage. They listened to my skin issues and things I've tried in the past, then recommended a peel that produced amazing results, followed by a 16 week Obagi program. I can honestly say, my skin has not looked this great since before puberty, it's literally glowing. The staff is very informed and friendly - a trip to the SKN spa is always both fun and effective! Oh, and the space is really bright and airy, I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes, and I always find parking. This place is a dream! more

first time botox patient, happy with results 7/22/2005

I had been contemplating Botox for a while. After hearing about some stories about fake botox I was worried. I finally decided to take the plunge and had heard good things about SKN. I made an appointment and Dr. Colvin took his time to answer all my questions. I never had a doctor take so much time with me before. And I am extremely happy with my results, especially my crows feet. I am definatly hooked. Dr. Colvins skills and professionalism are number 1!!!! Vanilla Gorilla No More 7/21/2005

As a guy, I wasn't too psyched to go to a medical spa. But I went with my girlfriend who was getting a treatment and who wanted me to get rid of some of my back hair. Ive got to say the whole thing was great. Rob and Katie, the two people who started SKN are a lot of fun. Rob, the doctor, was really good, really professional. He told me it would take 4-5 treatments, but Im already seeing a huge difference after just two treatments. Their offices are very cool not like your regular doctors office, and I felt right at ease. Still glowing! 7/15/2005

Since the opening of SKN last month, I have been into this medical day spa twice for treatments: first for botox injections in between my eyebrows, and second for a revitalizing skin peel. The quality of the medical professionals, the treatments, as well as the soothing atmosphere have me hooked! My skin is looking better by the day, and I have also started using some of their BioMedic products by LaRoche which I love! more

Overall highly recommend SKN. Extremely clean, professional offices. Feel like you are in a relaxing, hip doctor's office. Doctor is very warm, professional, not salesly or pushy - great bedside manners, puts you at ease right away. Went in for botox and he gave me the best brow lift that I didn't even know was possible! After battling unsuccessful, unpleasant hair laser removal treatments in unprofessional environments this was incredibly refreshing. Painfree and relaxing music in the background. Pleased with results! 7/12/2005

I was very impressed with my first visit to SKN. As soon as I walked, I was greeted and immediatly offered water and a seat in their beautiful waiting room. The receptionist answered all my questions and was very informative about different products and procedures. I was then led to a treatment room which was also very nice. Dr. Colvin put me at ease immediatly during my consult. He suggested a treatment plan with several different options. I ended up getting a botox and I love the results! Everyone has been complimenting me on how great I look. He also put me on the Obagi system and my skin looks and feels wonderful! All in all, the expericene was great and staff warm and friendly.
