Very poor performance rating. Non responsive once they were hired and sale was closed. Manager would not address the issues or requests on the property. Although the sales person was very professional and thorough, things fell apart once the actual work started with the weekly maintenance crew. Worst workmanship I have seen in years, simple tasks performed halfway with NO QUALITY WHATSOEVER. We fired them after many calls to the officers of the company to rectify the situation and got no satisfaction. Don't waste your time. more

Dependable, Honest and Professional\r \r Our company recently signed on with this company and I have to say they I have had nothing \r \r but great things to say since. The sales person was very well informed about their services\r \r and took extra time to hear about what WE wanted on our property. The installation crew did a \r \r fabulous job on our flower beds at the entrance. We met the manager before starting their\r \r services and got a New Customer package with all the information regarding our account. \r \r They worked around our schedule for the day of the week and have been very accommodating\r \r on everything we have requested. \r \r I would highly recommend them to any company who is tired of dealing with the non\r \r performers that exist in this industry. Their experience shines through in everything they have \r \r done for us. \r more

I have just started dealing with SKB and so far they are the friendliest people to deal with. When i read the other reveiws i must agree with 'yeahright', its sounds like there are a lot of disgruntled ex-employees, that in my experience like to trash a company when they dont perform! And there are a lot of people out there looking to make a quick buck from a scam.... more

I have also recently started dealing with SKB and i must admit i have never worked with such a great group of people. ALL the staff from the office to the workers are friendly and extremely helpful. Always willing to go the extra distance. I am just sorry i didnt sign them up earlier! So to those 'haters' out there. It really does sound like scam artists, just because you are a teacher doesn't make you honest!! And disgruntled ex-employees - you need to learn how to do your job. LOVE SKB! more

After reading the complaint of the former teacher regarding the ""rudeness"" of the President (Steve Bell) and Vice President (Steve Heard) of SKB Industries, I felt compelled to add my two cents worth. I know both of them all too well. I actually worked for a short time for this company. I left because of the poor management, poor treatment of their employees, complete dishonesty with their customers and unethical business practices. The company is notoriously known in the industry as ""bottom dwellers"" due to their poor performance. I can't tell you how many times a person has called the office to complain about damage to their car or property. Mr. Bell's answer is always the same, regardless of the facts. ""They are trying to scam us out of money and rip us off. Do NOT pay one penny or ""let them try and litigate against us"". His work force (mostly hispanic, but very hard working and decent individuals) are routinely cheated out of pay for hours worked, or paychecks will bounce from time to time. The Vice president is more of ""an old drinking buddy"" than an actual officer. HIs duties are limited by his addiction to pain pills. Turnover at this company is almost as constant as the complaints from their customers. Trust me, you DO NOT want to work for, or with this unprofessional group of crooks. more

Rude, disrespectful PRES. and VP of company regarding claim of scratches on car caused by THEIR employee on the job 2/15/2008

I witnessed one of their grounds maintenance workers accidentally fall into my car while holding a leaf blower. Another woman also witnessed the worker at the side of my car. (I was actually IN the car when it occurred.) There were resulting scratches on my car door handle. I reported the incident to the company's operations manager, who photographed the car's door handle. I got TWO quotes for repairs and submitted the LOWEST quote to the company. Yet, both the vice president and the president of this big company, in separate conversations with me, told me they ""weren't going any further"" with reimbursing me...that they thought my claim was a SCAM... One of them told me to never call them again...and they BOTH hung up on me without cause. These two men were extremely rude and unprofessional with me (a 41 year old, responsible & honest woman and former teacher). They basically accused me of lying, even though both I and another woman were eye witnesses to their employee falling into my two-week old new car with his leaf blower. Basically, they refused to take responsibility for scratches on my car caused by THEIR employee while on the job. Now, would I take time off from work to get TWO quotes if this was a scam? I don't think so! These two men can't distinguish between a valid claim (ONLY $100 repair) from a responsible community member and scams other low class people might pull... I was shocked at their treatment of me. Their TOP TWO leaders were unprofessional and extremely rude. more
