I bought a long block 350 Chev marine motor for my boat. I bought the long block because it came with a 2 year warranty. After install the motor continued to push coolant and pressurize, overflowing out of my heat ex-changer. I paid the company that did the install to replace the heat exchanger, check all kinds of potential issues. Only to find out that the head gasket was blown on a brand new motor. We sent the invoice to S&J to have them cover only a small part of the repairs and they refused. Brand new motor with not even an hour on it. more

warranty dept very helpful till its its time for them to actually pay for their crappy assembly of what they call a re-manufacterd motor......mine had overheating problems from the start even with all new coolant parts down to a new radiator ..was later diagnosed as a head gasket leak but they refuse to pay for the re-pair because they said it was my fault for the overheating....small claims court here we come more

BEWARE!!!! 1/10/2012

Their good reviews were by paid reviewers!!!Worst!!!! Do not believe the 7 yr warranty. They make every excuse not to handle warranty work. Warranty dept helpful till you send motor back then make every excuse that it was your fault not theirs then want money to get it back!!!! I purchased a motor with a small knock in the bottom of the motor with 0 miles!!! I have purchased several motors over the years for muscle cars to daily drivers and this was the worst experience ever!!! $3000 for a piece of junk with a knock!!! more

Best out there. I don't know anything about engines except that my brother replaced my Tacoma's engine with an S&J engine and it has no problems. Thanks guys. more

Dealer Recommended 11/30/2011

My dealer gets their re-mans from S&J. Dropped a new motor in my vehicle and it's seriously flawless. Been running it for 20k with no issues. I'd never heard of em before my dealer recommended them, but I'm glad they are out there. sandjengines(dot)com more

Car runs Beautifully 9/19/2011

I made the mistake of running on a noisy engine for far too long, so by the time I brought it in to get serviced, my engine was done for. S & J Engine did a great job at getting my engine back to new, and I really appreciate the hard work. My car runs beautifully, and it was worth every penny. more
