I can""t say enough good things about SEE! The selection is amazing, and they buy stock in limited quantities, so your look stays unique to you. The prices also include a single vision lens, so you know the basic cost as soon as you try on that perfect pair. They also charge less for add-ons, like transitions lenses and anti-reflective coatings, than other optical shops both local and chain. Yes, their prices were even lower than the competitor's as well, by at least $100 or more in some cases, without sacrificing quality. Finally, and most importantly, the staff is tops! Not only did Allison help me find my dream specs (after giving me plenty of browsing time first), they're genuinely concerned about how they fit and perform in the long term. They readjusted my last pair months after the purchase without a moment's hesitation and zero sales push. It's just a commitment to service that continues after the sale. I've just treated myself to a new pair, though my last pair is still doing beautifully, and I'll keep treating myself at SEE for years to come! more

The guy who works there on Saturday is an idiot. I've been there four times to get my glasses adjusted, and every time I get home and it turns out they're either crooked, too tight, etc. Please find this guy a job that doesn't involve the brain power or the intrinsic motivation needed to bend wires. more

This is just yet another trendy little spot nestled into Hillsboro Village that is so overpriced that unless you are concerned with your Vandy sorority sisters seeing you come out of here, dont' waste your time. The worst part is that even AFTER you pay for your overpriced glasses, you'll be disappointed b/c they're made really cheaply and you'll still have to go elsewhere to replace them! The Dr. is nice enough, but truly they're just offering what you can get at Image Optical in a bit more urban setting without nearly the experience of their competition, you'll pay just as much at both places! Located in hip Hillsboro Village, See had a great atmosphere, an excellent selection of ""cool"" frames (and more subdued ones as well) a friendly and competent staff and a great doctor.\r \r They people there made me feel comfortable and were fun to talk to, they helped me pick out the perfect frames and the doctor (Ben) knew exactly what he was doing and made what is usually a clinical experience into something more fun and relaxed.\r \r After picking out my frames, I walked next door to Fido for coffee while I waited on my eyes to dilate.\r \r The only downside I can think of is that the place is a little on the pricey side, but not outrageously so and this is certainly a case of ""you get what you pay for"". I had been putting off getting an eye exam and new glasses because I was dreading the time it would take to go through the whole routine. When I went to SEE, my eyes were examined, my frames were selected, and I was out the door within 45 minutes. I couldn't believe it!\r \r Their selection is out of this world. The staff were incredibly friendly and took the lead with helping me select frames. I felt great about the frames I chose, and they were ready in two days. \r \r SEE could not have made this process any more painless or any less time consuming. The place just rocks! Awesome collection of one-of-a-kind stuff at way better prices than I would have thought. The staff was great, especially John. He helped me find the perfect look in just minutes. I had my glasses back in three days and they were flawless! I cannot recommend this place enough. I can't imagine shopping anywhere else for my future eyewear. Check them out. All fun and no bad attitudes allowed. The prices are reasonable, much like those at any independent optical store. If you purchase more than one, you get a discount, if you are a student, you get a discount. I have bought two pairs of glasses here from the GREAT Michelle, and I get complimented on them constantly! I even exchanged one of the pairs after wearing them a day or two to get a more hip, cute pair, and had no problem! I have several friends who wear unique glasses from this store, and we are all very happy. Best of all, they usually are having some fun promotion with a cute slogan printed on tees for cheap.
