This is one of my all time favorite Salvation Army Stores for donating and for buying. The employees are usually very friendly and helpful. I selectively came to this store to donate many of my Mother's favorite things. I have also bought a few wonderful antique items here such as hand blown antique lamps, new items which have been donated by Target stores, etc.
If you watch this store carefully they can get some great finds! I was donating some items on the way to our family cemetery plot in Anchorville and there was a magnificent wood doll house from the 1940's-50's. I would have bought it in a second for $40 (but I had a car full of people). I was flying home in the am.
The doll house was more beautiful than my Grandmother's West German doll house. It was 2 ft high by about 3 1/2 ft long with every detail perfect in every way. The doll house even had a thatch, shingle roof. This sighting was a few weeks ahead of Christmas. Some child had their dream come true when Santa brought this doll house! (I have seen equivalent doll houses sell on eBay for over $600.) Who knows you may be the lucky one to spot some wonderful castoff treasures here too !
