I rented from SK northwest snowmobile rentals and had eerily similar experiences to those who rented watercraft. Was charged after I returned the machines for ""damages"" to the machine. I informed the young man who was the rental manager that I had not damaged the machines--and he told me that it would not be a big deal and that the damages were very minor AND that they would not charge my credit card without first contacting me. About 3 weeks later, I checked my credit card balance, and found that I had been charged $200 in new parts and $200 in labor for these so called minor damages---I contacted the merchant several times and they agreed to only charge me $350, but since I did nothing to incur the damages, I did not admit culpability for this payment---It occurred without my knowledge and permission and the repairs and damages were extremely frivolous----The repairs were basically intended to subsidize their repair shop and employees in a slow economy and I stress WERE INCREDIBLY FRIVOLOUS. I tried to come to a mutually agreeable settlement with the business and offered to pay half of the bill, but eventually my calls were not returned. I ended up visiting the owner, shawn, who was very condescending towards me and said he would look into it---after two weeks with no calls, i contacted shawn who said there was nothing he could do--I disputed the charge and tried to come to a settlement though the BBB, but to no avail. I had a feeling that I was not an isolated case, and felt compelled to post this after seeing some of the reviews of the sister company S & K watercraft rentals. I simply wanted to share my story in hopes that people here will avoid this company to avoid the problems and hassle, I had to endure. Thanks
