Ruth did the photography for my wedding a couple weeks ago. I was absolutely thrilled with her performance, and now that I have gotten the photos back I just could not be happier. When I saw the random photos my friends and family took with their cameras I was very worried because I realized what horrible lighting we had! Bright harsh overhead sun for the ceremony, patchy shade for the cocktail hour and a horribly backlit reception situation. Somehow Ruth managed to get all the shots!! Friendly photographer, great photos 11/28/2006

Ruth was a pleasure to work with from start to finish. From the moment she invited us into her home to discuss our desires for our upcoming wedding, we knew that we were working with someone special. Having her with us on our wedding day was like having a good friend as the photographer. Our album is gorgeous and Ruth really has a way with reconstructing the story of a wedding through images. I would recommend her to anyone getting married in the Santa Cruz area. more

Top tier results and a quality product 11/28/2006

Ruth takes a lot of care at every stage of the process, so this is one less thing to worry about on your most important day. Ruth and her assistant blended well into the proceedings and excercised discrete control at crucial moments. If you know what you want or can accept help to figure that out, then Ruth can deliver excellent results. This is a creative process which Ruth understands very well. Everybody thinks they're an expert now that high quality digital equipment is affordable. But do you really want to take the risk? We didn't, and we're delighted with the results. We would not hesitate to recommend Ruth's services to anyone who knows quality work when they see it. Pros: A worry-free experience for us. more

Great Wedding Photography 11/28/2006

I would highly recommend Ruth Rabinowitz photography. Ruth was very helpful in planning the kinds of shots we wanted before the wedding, scouted photo locations on site with us in advance and was friendly, organized and professional at the wedding. After the wedding Ruth stayed in contact, gave great suggestions for prints and what to put in our wedding album and was really helpful when it came to choosing our album materials. She was friendly, polite and helpful through the entire process and the photos were fabulous. I would recommend her to anyone. more

Bad Customer Relations 9/19/2006

The photos from my event were fine, but fine is hardly acceptable when you are paying for excellence. Ms. Rabinowitz was very friendly and cordial prior to and throughout the event but working with her after the event was awkward, at best. Ruth was rude and lacked a can-do attitude that is neccessary if you want to succeed in the wedding business. I have had two friends get married in close proximity to Santa Cruz in the months following our event and absolutely did not refer them to Ruth Rabinowitz Photography. Pros: Professional and curtious at the event Cons: Difficult to work with post-event. more
