Avoid this ER if at all possible! 2/24/2009

I came to the ER at Skokie Hospital with a bad case of gastroenteritis. I was so sick when I got to the ER and they seriously could have cared less. It took about an hour for them to finally get me IV fluids and the nurses were beyond awful. After I got two bags of fluid the nurse told me it was time to "go home" because "they needed the room." I told her I was still sick and she told me I was fine and to follow up with my doctor. I asked her to admit me and she said I didn't need that. Never did she ask me how *I* was feeling. I reluctantly packed up my stuff, knowing I was about to throw up again, and then collapsed to the floor and threw up. Finally the doctor admitted me to the hospital but not before admonishing me to "get up off the floor." (like I chose to collapse and it's not like I had a bed anymore). Very bad ER staff. Please avoid if at all possible. more

Generally do a solid job 9/3/2006

This is the closest hospital to where we live. Over the years, we've had a number fo er visits among my family, most recently whem my wife had a heart attack scare in July. The ER staff are helpful and attentive. They usually do a very good job of care in the ER. more

You're in good hands 7/31/2005

I came to the to the emergency room for a cut hand, and I didn't have to wait long for care. The doctor "glued" my skin back together and I was on my way. I also had my daughter here - the nurses were great and the care made you feel very healthy even after birth. I am planning to have my next child here as well. Nice facility. more
