Worst

I'm not sure about this place. I took my 14 year old dog to Ruff Housing for overnight boarding (3 nights). Most of the kids that work there seem nice but at the same time i'm not...

My dog really enjoys Ruff Housing. She gets mad and chews things up around the house when she doesn't get to go. The staff is awesome and facilities are very clean. If your looking for a great place to take your dogs look no further!! Ruff Housing is the PLACE!! more

My dogs love Ruff Housing 5/26/2012

I absolutely love Ruff Housing. I can trust the staff with my dogs and not even worry about them while im gone because I know they are in good hands. They called to tell me something very minor about my dogs just to make sure it was something that was not unusual for my dogs.They always have fun playing with their friends and they get excited when they know i'm taking them there. more

Awesome place! 1/10/2012

We went to visit my family in California for 2 weeks over Christmas and I couldn't take my dog with me:( I was very upset because I had never left her before, but the staff at Ruff Housing was great. They ""held my hand"" so to speak when I dropped her off and made me feel very comfortable. I called a few times to check on her and they seemed to know her and her personality so well. It was great being able to watch her play with her friends on the webcams and when I picked her up, I don't think she missed us at all! As a matter of fact, after a few days I thought she might be getting kind of depressed because she missed all of her new dog friends, so I have been taking her to daycare at least once a week since and she loves it! Always comes home tired and happy! more

My Dogs Love This Place! 1/9/2012

My dogs have stayed at Ruff Housing several times and we love it! We have one dog that is very social and she likes to do the all day play option. We watch her play all the time on the webcams and have always been very pleased with the way the staff interacts with the dogs. If a dog goes to the bathroom, they clean it up right away. Our other dog is older and not as social so she does the ""private retreat"" option and has always done great. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful and we like how there are different options to fit our dogs' needs. The facility is always very clean and the dogs there always seem very happy. more

Not Sure About This Place. 12/29/2011

I'm not sure about this place. I took my 14 year old dog to Ruff Housing for overnight boarding (3 nights). Most of the kids that work there seem nice but at the same time i'm not sure about how well they have been trained or certified to deal with animals.. especially older ones. My dog was in an ""extra large penthouse suite"". ( not really extra large. but it was bigger than a typical large crate) They had a web cam installed so i could check on her. Only thing is- 2 times when I checked on her (checking the webcam every 5 min or so for 1-2 hours or more) I saw she was barking furiously and walking in circles. After about an hour of watching her do this, she peed and pooped inside her room because no one would let her out. I called after 30 minutes of seeing that no one had checked on her yet. When she was let out, it seemed to be for about only 4-5 minutes. Kinda too short for an old dog that has been isolated in a room all day alone. So all in all, I didn't enjoy seeing my dog contained within her own feces and urine. And not being attended to as much as she should have. So 2 stars. 1 for the web cam. 1 for the modern design of the facility. and minus 3 for what i just stated above. more

Ruff Housing 12/21/2011

Was not pleased at all. My dog was there 3 hours and could not find him on web cams so I went to get him. He was in a crate. It gets worse, He has been sick every since, it has cost us a small fortune. DO NOT GO THERE more

Phenomial Grooming! 6/7/2010

I am very pleased with the new grooming services Ruff Housing is offering. The prices are great and the work done on my dog was phenominal! The groomer, Lori came out and talked to me about how my dog did during the groom and told me about some issues with my dogs skin that I was unaware of. I was able to take my dog to the vet afterwards and share the info Lori gave me with the vet. We found out that my dog had allergies. Now I am better prepaired to help my furry friend feel better. Thank you Lori and Ruff Housing for giving my dog the care it deserves! more

Ruff Housing Doggie Daycare is THE BEST in North America! 1/7/2010

Rejoice! How did I ever live without Ruff Housing Doggie Daycare? My dog LOVES this place. It is because the owners and staff take such good care of my dog. They are kind, compassionare and highly professional. A former owner of another daycare said it is the finest facility of its type in North Carolilna. I agree! more

Ruff Housing has just started full grooms this is great I can drop my dog off for daycare and have it groomed all at the same time. I could even watch if I want there is a big window right there. This is great all my dogs needs being taken care of in one place. more

Ruff Housing Reduced MY Stress Level!!!! 11/26/2009

I have two very territorial, active miniature schnauzers who are often thought of as being "mean". Never in my wildest dreams did I EVER think that MY dogs would play with a pack of dogs they did not know. When I went for their "socialization evaluation", I was prepared to leave disappointed. I waited for the snarling and barking to begin, but it never happened. I looked through the one-way glass and they were standing amongst about 20 other dogs!!! I couldn't believe it! While out of town, I called to check on them, left a message and got a call back telling me they were a bit shy on day one, but just fine. Playing, eating, sleeping with no problems on day two. I even let them stay to play a little longer before I picked them up. Also, I requested that they get bathed and when I picked them up, they were happy, tired and smelled good! I was also informed that, in January 2010, owners will be able to log in online to watch their dogs 24 hours a day! I love that the dogs are more

A wonderful treat for our pup! 9/13/2008

My dog has special needs and requires a lot of ""hands on"" care. The staff here has been attentive to her needs and have spoiled her with the same level of affection we give her at home. The dogs staying here look so happy and my pup gets all giddy when we pull into the parking lot. I would highly recommend this place to anyone!!! more

Disney Land for Dogs 2/15/2008

Before going to Ruff Housing I had contemplated finding my dog a new home because she was out of control. I am single and I work so my dog was at home alone all day and when I got home from work she was WILD!! I started walking her every morning before work and that didn't work either. She is a whole different dog now. When I pick her up from daycare she is so tired. She is so loving and just wants to snuggle. Ruff Housing has saved my relationship with my dog. She is a Lab so of course she loves the water. She plays outside in the water everyday at Ruff Housing. They have small pools and sprinklers that the dogs play with. They suggested that I get a sprinkler for home and I was amazed how much she loved it. I've only tried the Overnight thing 1 time. When I picked her up after she stayed for 4 days...she didn't want to come home. We walked out the door and she immediately turned back to the door like she wanted to go back in. Good place to wear your dog out! Overnight boarding works well (bring your own crate or rent one). They are getting more overnight boarders so call in advance! Pros: Your dog will be dog-gone pooped out! Cons: Wish the space were bigger! more

Fantastic for Dogs, Fantastic for Owners 7/7/2006

This place is the best! My dogs go there and run around all day with other dogs and head home exhausted. It is well worth the money for me to know that they are well taken care of and loved there. They are also doing some overnight care now, but I haven't tried that yet. Cool place. more
