I went to Rudy's a month ahead of time and "ordered ahead " Christmas bakery" to be picked up today December 23, for my party tomorrow December 24th. I was very surprised and unhappy to be told when I arrived that they did not have any "Snowball" cookies that I had ordered. I was told "we didn't make any this year", but they had them in the store when I was there the month before to order. At first, I was told they didn't have 2 kinds of other cookies I had ordred and then was told that was incorrect, they didn't have the snowballs. I don't live close and I used there bakery because they had the items I wanted. To me, when you order ahead, you should get what you ordered! They didn't even apologize and I got no response from the clerk when I asked why they didn't call me and notify me that they were not going to be making something I had ordered, so I would have the option of choosing something else or going somewhere else! The topping on the cake (excuse my pun) is that another customer came in while I was there and said they had charged her for more than she had ordered and when I got home, I had ordered 2 dozen eclairs and 2 dozen cream puffs, and there was only 1 dozen of each in the box and I had paid for 2 dozen of each. I called the store and was told they would make more if I could come in today. I will not be returning to this establishment. This is not the proper way to do business.
