Rudy's Pet Shop & Feed Store

I have been shopping at rudys for over 10 years now and their selection and prices are UNBEATABLE! The store is always clean, the atmosphere is always friendly, and the employees are always willing to help you. They have a HUGE selection of birds, I'm not talking about like what Petsmart has, they have a room FILLED with all different species of birds for half the price of petsmart. They have pet supplies for all pets at prices cheaper than walmart and petsmart (belive me, I've compared prices). You should give Rudy's a try, you will NOT be disappointed!! I love that store! :) more

can we say disappointed?? i shopped there instead of going to swains to pick up some advantik for my dog they didnt have it but did offer frontline plus well when i got home and opened package one tube was empty and leaked inside the wrapper when i called them they wasnt willing to stand behind the sale told me to take on the burden of calling the manf and shipping it to them for replacement at my time and expense i bought it from them not the manf i wasnt happy and wont spend anymore of my money there so buyer beware. more

Just went into Rudy's today after reading the reviews last night. I was looking for a cute - but reasonably priced - dog purse carrier. I walked in and saw the exact one I had coveted on line at a much better price! I also found quite a few other cute items for my dog that were much cheaper than PetSmart, Wal-Mart, etc. Staff was super friendly and were very nice to my two young children. I will go back and support this wonderful, local business. more

Fantastic selection of bird items, toys, cages, food, always friendly and willing to help and answer questions. The Best prices on all bird supplies( cages, toys,food ect) and unnique items as well.\r We have been searching for a parrot carrier to transport our quaker (to and from our storm shelter.\r (Oklahoma you have to be ready) they have the best price on the carrier than anyplace, online or store!\r Its about a hour round trip for us but its worth the drive,\r we have chain pet store less than 10 minuets from our home, but we prefer the drive to shop at Rudy's. more

To John M. below...the only place your gonna find Ol'Roy Dog food is at Walmart and something about that brand of dog food you might want to know. That is quite possibly the very worst dog food you can feed you pets. It has a very high amount of corn product in it which is very bad for you animal. If you really care about your pets you need to be looking at getting a good quality food which lists a protein as the first ingredient. As far as Rudy's not being very well stocked they are a very small store with products that are premium for your beloved pets at much lower prices then somewhere like PetSmart but keep in mind that they are small and can't house the kind of inventory that huge stores can. I find that I personally as well many other people I know who patronize that store are quite satisfied with the selection and quality of products they carry. I love this store. I own sugar gliders, turtles, cats, and dog and hermit crabs. I have purchased items for all of them at this store. The glider and turtle food is much more inexpensive than Walmart and Petsmart. I have also purchased several cages, cat and dog carriers, cat toys and hermit crab cages. Great store!! Now if I only had a few birds...I already know where I would go to purchase their items!! John M. below needs to stick to Walmart. more

I don't know where John M went to, but the Rudys I attended was wonderful. Why would a specality pet store like them sell a walmart brand dog food?? Personnel cheerful and most helpful. If you have birds they are number 1. I also found their selection of cages super. You can't find anything like they have at Walmart's. Also you cannot find help at Walmarts as they all run and hide. I purchased a huge corner cage that is wonderful, buy seed, they keep everything fresh, and can answer just about any questions you can come up with on your birds, large like my macaw or small like the finches. You're welcome to bring your birds and introduce them to the staff, they love them. Keep in mind this is not a chain store, but a privately owned business that is doing a wonderful job. Over the past 6 or more years My Ex and I have had a wide variety of pets; finches, parakeets, cockatiels, a quaker parrot and a few pet rodents. We have shopped all but exclusively at Rudy's! Their selection is more than adequate! On top of that I have found their prices to be the best in town and their people are very friendly and knowledgable! All in all; a great place to shop for your 'little friends' and their supplies! Pros: A great staff, selection and value - easy to get to as well! Cons: I really can't think of any. more

Rudy's is primarily a "bird" store. It's great being able to buy fresh seed by the pound and mixed with different kinds if I prefer. They have the best prices on birds, cages and toys. They will answer questions I have and have a great selection on feathered friend supplies. more

Great Inventory in stock...I love being able to buy bird seed by the pound or in bulk...Prices are lower than larger chain stores..Quality Products & Goods...You simply cannot beat their prices and the employees are just like down home folk. Rudy's was a suggestion of a coworker who said that they bought all of their dog food at discounted prices from them. Well, when I went in for myself, they didn't have what I was looking for (Ol'Roy dog food). On top of that, the shop itself wasn't very clean, there wasn't much to look at (can you say storage shed?), and the employees weren't very friendly. You're better off sticking with Walmart for animal food. more
