Went to Ruben's alteration based on the good reviews I saw at CitySearch for a Theory suit. When I got there, it was a guy name Mark and he says he's the tailor and Ruben only does the shoe repair. So I tried Mr. Mark anyway. He did a decent job with the pants for $10 each, but did a bad job with the suit jacket sleeves. The inside of the sleeves kept on coming out. He did fix it, but I probably will not go back again. Pros: Not Ruben more

Ruben saved my prom night 7/15/2009

I bought the most beautiful dress for my high school prom but the fit was just not right. My sister recommended ruben's alterations and I'm really happy she did! I took my dress to Ruben the day before my prom and he assured me the alterations would be ready in time for my prom. The dress was ready the day after and fit perfectly. The price was reasonable too. I recommend this place all the time now more

Successfully revived all of my old shoes! 10/15/2008

I discovered this little gem in 2001 and have been coming back ever since. Last month I brought in 12 pairs of old shoes to be revived. All of them were repaired and polished with great care and attention to detail. Soles and heels were replaced or reinforced. Broken clasps, straps, and scratches were all repaired. I was 100% satisfied with the job and am happy to now have more choices of shoes to wear everyday. :) Pros: affordable prices, can negotiate more

Best tailor in the neighborhood 10/10/2008

Just moved to the neighborhood and needed a reliable tailor / dry cleaner. I had my pants tailored here and was very satisfied with the service. Pants were done the day after I brought them in. Very quick turnaround! My garments were handled with great care and the quality of the work was very good. Will be bringing all my clothes here from now on. Pros: friendly service, low prices, quick turn around Cons: hard to find parking in the area, closed sunday more
