Royal bengal sucks 12/27/2006

Great Indian Cheap 2/5/2006

The Royal Bengal Indian Restaurant in Cambridge has the best samosas in town. The Bengali cuisine is awesome and flavored with authentic spices like ginger and spicy mustard. The cleanliness and atmosphere here are a little sub-par, but the prices are so low that it is hard to care. There is also a nice selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes to please more pickey eaters. more

Royal India is definitely the best Indian food in Cambridge, and probably in the Boston area. Here's what I order for our Thursday dinners: 4 naan, 1 raita, 1 chicken tikka appetizer, 2 malai kofta, 1 dal mahkni, 1 matar paneer (or aloo ghobi or the cabbage and potato dish) -- this would feed six and comes to a little less than $60. Beware: Mondays is closed. more

I love Royal India 9/24/2004

The food at Royal India is always so delicious. It is the best Indian restaraunt I've ever been to (outside New York City). Their vegetarian dishes are superb, as is the chicken tikka appetizer. This is just a little family-run place between Central Square and MIT and you are waited on by members of the family who own and run the place. more
