I was quoted tax prep fees of $70-200. Four days later my taxes are prepared, with an invoice of $275. \r

The reason given: This firm bills by the form, not hour. I didnt think it was fair that I was charged for things like carrying over a stock loss, which they simply transposed from my 2010 return.\r

I cordially and respectfully asked Don for clarification and an adjustment. His response: A) called me a Liar - that $70-200 was not quoted by his asst (Debbie)...even though she was not there to confirm and B) off the cuff decided I was not worth his time and cancelled his service to me (no bill - no tax prep).\r

Buy local, but stay away from this CPA firm! Unless that is, you have extra money to throw away.\r
