I went to see Dr. Hoffman late on a Friday afternoon. I called several other offices and could not find a dentist to see me for a toothache. Dr. Hoffman kindly kept the office open past closing to take xrays and evaluate my tooth. He had a very gentle touch and wonderful chairside manner. The staff up front and his assistant Shannon were very calming and courteous. It is difficult to find practices like this anymore. I have since brought my whole family to see Dr. Hoffman. My whole life I've been afraid of going to the dentist, and I had put it off until I got older, fearfully wondering if my choice to do so would bring about increased pain and expense to repair the long preventitive maintenence I should have been doing over the years. But to my pleasant surprise, I couldn't believe the wonderful attention to detail and professionalism I received from Dr. Eric Hoffman at Round Rock Dental Associates, as well as the affordable cost to do business. To date, I've had 4-5 fillings, a 3 root canals, and I'm working on getting 4 wisdom teeth extracted in the next couple of months, as well as some cosmetic work done on one of my front teeth, and some whitening. Every time I've been in to see Dr. Hoffman, he's treated me like a family member, NOT a customer, and I have to tell you it's made the traditional ""trip to the dentist"" an enjoyable experience. Even for my young daughter who is 5 years old, she loves going to the dentist to see Dr. Eric and has absolutely no fear whatsoever. My wife agrees too, he has done an amazing job on our entire family, as he has repaired a few fillings for her as well. Each time we've gone to see him, we've never had any extended pain from his work. If you're looking for a new dentist or if you want someone who is trusted in the area in the skill set of great dentistry, or you just have questions or want an evaluation, I don't think you'll find a better dentist than Dr. Hoffman in Round Rock. I had a totally different experience than the previous reviewer. I found all the service to be very friendly and prompt, from the woman at the front desk to the woman who checked me out afterward. I went in the late afternoon, and they were not behind schedule. I also had Dr. Hoffman, and he treated me and his coworkers politely. He is young, but I certainly wouldn't say he was ""amateurish""--he was professional and knowledgeable. more

Your review Warning! These People Just Want Your Insurance Money! I visited this place to get a tooth repaired and Dr. Hoffman and his crew insisted that I get a full exam so they could find other things to fix and charge. The whole staff is involved in building up the Dentist and putting down the previous work done in your mouth. The hygenist kept dropping insubtle hints about extra work. I called my previous dentist in Dallas and he told me that many dentists attend seminars where they learn to up sell with the mission of replacing everything that has been done in your mouth. Well this evil Dr. Mengele found some other fillings to replace and used up all of my insurance before working on the tooth I wanted repaired. Mind you I was not in pain before I showed up to this medicine show.. The result - well he did a partial root canal and told me about it afterwards - so I'd have to come back. Now all of my insurance is used up for the year; I am in pain all the time and after the numbing wore off I realized what a lousy job he did on the teeth he supposedly fixed. The back of my teeth feel like sand paper and one front tooth is so sharp I am afraid I will slice my tongue off. - as he thinned it out for some idiotic reason. Dr. Hoffman is a huckster and very amaturish. He kept barking at his assistant "We 40 minutes behind." GO TO ROSE DENTAL. THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL AND TOOK CARE OF MY DAUGHTER WITH EXPERTISE.
