Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Service

I had my A/C heating unit replaced on 2 days ago and was without hot water. Because the gas was turned off for the install, the pilot light went out. I was unable to relight it myself and called Roro-Rooter. I asked for the fee of a service call on the phone and was advised the service call was free. I was also advised they would arrive within an hour. I waited an hour, then called again and was advised someone would be here in 10-15 mins. He did arrive within 10 mins after that. It took about 3 mins to light the water heater, then realized he did not advise me of the fee. $220.00!! To light a gas water heater. He did lower it to 165.00, but that is ridiculous! After this he wrote up the invoice. There is a section for work order authorization. I did write that i amount of fee was not disclosed prior to work being done. Beware consumers. I will never use them again. Unfortunately, I am unable to post without giving a rating and the system does not accept zero stars. more

I would like to take this opportunity to highly commend Roto-Rooter employees Larry and Riley for the excellent professional service they provided my wife and I over the long Memorial Day Weekend. Early Sunday morning (30 May 2010) we woke to a large puddle of water just outside our laundry room door and we could hear the sound of water running in the walls of the house. A quick call was made to Roto-Rooter Plumbing and Dain Service, in our local area, was made since we had previously used them and were pleased with their work. Within an hour of my call Roto-Rooter employees were at my door. They quickly assessed the situation and set about the arduous task of determining just where the leak(s) were and my options for resolving the problem. Throughout their investigation, Larry and Riley kept me well informed as to what they were doing and the rationale behind their actions. It was very apparent from the start that they were very concerned about minimizing the inconvenience and mess that could be generated by repair actions. I admire how professional they were and the fact they could maintain a cheerful disposition even though they had to interrupt their Memorial Day activities and climb around in our attic in 92 plus degree temperatures. They quickly determined I actually had two separate leaks in the water pipes that were imbedded in my concrete foundation. They explained what my options were and suggested a course of action that I might consider with a complete explanation of rationale for their recommendation. Without a doubt they again displayed excellent professionalism and quickly and fully answered all my questions concerning the recommended course of actions. To make a long story short - Larry and Riley worked into the late evening hours to restore my water system with minimal inconvenience for us. They went out of their way to crawl into very cramped locations and worked under severe movement constraints so that they did not have to make major opening in our walls which would have created additional repairs and increased overall costs of the leaks. Again, even though Larry and Riley worked many hours and in extremely hot conditions they maintained a very professional demeanor and refreshing disposition throughout the entire repair process. Given my past and recent experience with Roto-Rooter Plumbing and Drain Service I can highly recommend them for repairing any plumbing or drain problems one may experience. Without a doubt, Roto-Rooter has become my permanent go-to plumbing service for any future plumbing needs A special thanks for a job well done to Larry and Riley who believe it or not, almost made this water leak experience enjoyable.
