Editorial review from Citysearch 12/5/2012

December 5, 2012 I was followed around the Ross Dress for Less store in League City TX, an upper middle class neighborhood known to most Houstonians ?as a very safe area to live and shop.? At first, I didn?t realize that I was being followed on suspicion of shoplifting. Initially, I thought I was being stalked by another shopper. He followed me from aisle to aisle, watching me and creeping closer & closer. He scared me because I WASN?T SURE WHAT HE WANTED, I didn?t even bring my purse into the store because I had planned on buying several gifts & didn?t want to carry anything extra, I had my ID & credit card in my pocket. As soon as I realized that this man was an undercover security agent working for the store, I made a beeline for the check stand. While paying for my $190.00 of items, Tina (cashier) who was ringing me up, told the security man that was following me around. ?To go watch another lady who was shopping because she had a lot of merchandise in her cart!!!!? I went home but couldn?t stop feeling violated by the behavior of the store employees. I considered taking my whole purchase back and complaining to the manager, but I had spent a lot of time carefully selecting those items and I am already feeling the Christmas time crunch, so I have just decided not to give that store anymore of my time or business. If you want to be able to shop in a retail store, or otherwise, without being followed around as though you?re some kind of criminal be sure to avoid Ross Dress for Less League City. more

Love Ross but this one is Empty! 5/9/2012

This Ross used to be awesome. This area is really expanding, but the Ross seems to be going downhill. It's almost empty as far as stock goes, and has tons of unused shelf space and square footage on the floor. My first impression was that it was closing! more
