Roslin's On Fifth

Ive been going to Roslins for haircuts, color , waxes manicures and pedicures for almost 10 years...I have always found the staff to be eager to please and friendly and their services to be excellent My stylist makes every effort to be sure I am please with my style and is very skilled at knowing what my hair will and will not do.Whats more important is that if I did ever have an issue I would be comfortable telling the staff what the issue might be and know they would be eager to correct it. So you can see Im very pleased with Roslins! more

Too many men go to Sport Clips, Cost Cutters and Great Clips...what a huge mistake! The atmosphere at Roslin's is fun and upbeat and the gals know what they are doing. The extra couple of bucks between a discount hair cut and a professional stylist amounts to nothing when you look at the end result. I've had my hair done there for years (cut and color) never been disappointed! more

I moved to the area and was looking for a salon. The ad on her websites says "she has perfected the art of applying advance hair cutting techniques to create the ultimate design for each individual...." I believe this is total fabrication. I went in, told the stylist that the left side of my hair is longer than the right....she never fixed it. I told her I needed layering on the top, it's not layered, it has one length. I asked her to take off as much as she needed from the length in order to make the layinger right, that didn't happen. I asked for the top to be blended in with the layers in the back, that didn't happen. I actually look like I have a carrot top head. So, do I recommend Roslins, no way. I payed big dollars for a "cost cutters" haircut. My hair is ruined so now I'm growing it out but in the meantime, it looks terrible. Pros: It's in town Cons: Terrible Hair cut - don't do it. more

I received great services at Roslins. Her staff is warm and friendly, and every service I received (massage, manicure and pedicure, hair cut, styling, and facial) was superior to any other service in Des Moines. I highly recommend this salon/day spa to women of all ages. Pros: Results are spectacular. Staff are nice, services are professional. I looked great! Cons: nothing negative at Roslins. more
