This place is a hidden gem, and my new Toledo-area favorite. Reasonably priced, expansive menu options, huge portions, friendly and accommodating staff. And, most importantly, everything was delicious from the first bite to the last. The bread is crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle, the oil mix was so delicious I was wondering if they sold it by the bottle (forgot to ask), the pistaschio-crusted chicken was to die for. (And not that it's hard to make, but my Caeser salad was great too). I can't wait to eat the leftovers for dinner tomorrow. My mother said the tomato basil soup was the best she'd ever had, and she's not quick to compliment. Next time I plan on trying the calamari, lobster bisque, and baby lamb chops. The service was wonderful too- we arrived at 5:30 and had to be at a concert 20 minutes away by 7. We were seated right away, and they got us out of there with time to spare, without us ever feeling rushed. My glass was never empty, and the waiter stopped by several times to make sure we had everything we needed. The ambience was pretty nice too. We came in jeans, but I wouldn't feel too out of place in a skirt and heels if I were coming after work. They had pretty Christmas trees in the foyer, and it was so cozy and inviting after the cold outside. Nice wood booths, a fireplace, quiet and un-crowded dining areas. I would take my boyfriend here for a romantic date, but it's casual enough to just come for a family dinner or meet a friend for lunch. Seriously, a much better value, equal-if-not-superior food quality, and not as stuffy as Mancy's Italian.
