I'm a ruben fan, so when I heard this place had good rubens. I was pretty impressed with the sandwich. It had plenty of corn beef, sauce, and flavor. The staff was friendly, but boy was this place busy. We went during the work week lunch hour, so I guess all those who work downtown go to Rose's. We had to park across the street in a parking garage, but the validated the ticket. more

Deli and Desserts 11/2/2005

Rose's is located in downtown Vancouver next to the Regal City Cinema. There are tables inside and out, weather permitting, and daily specials. I miss New York deli sandwiches and Rose's makes a pretty good hot corned beef and/or pastrami. Potato salad is not the best I've ever tasted but the garlic pickles have just the right tang and snap. Potato chips are a better choice than the salads. Desserts range from eclairs to cheesecake and tortes. A bit spendy but well worth treating yourself to once in awhile. You may have to park in the parking garage across the street as on street parking can be limited. (Has moved out to East Vancouver near 192nd in new plaza) more
