Rose & Leona's Flower Shop

I was going into Holy Cross on a Sunday morning around 7:00. I was concerned that I could not have a chance to buy some flowers but I was surprised that one flower shop was open. When I walked in, I could not believe all the flowers they had. They have a section for the folks who do not want to spend a lot, $3.00 bunches and than you can spend over 100.00 if you want. the gal who helped me was nice and friendly, asking why I needed flowers and than actually getting them for me explaining that to keep them fresh and nice you had to hold them up side down. I was surprised that they even have a plan, if you buy any bunch or other brougets you can buy 9 and get the 10th free. I have been taking advantage of that now. When I needed to send some flowers across the county they did that too. For a birthday party, they delieved the flowers and set them up, they where beautfiful. they are family owned I found out and sometimes you can hear them yelling at each other as most familys do, but its never in anger, its more politics or family matters. the owner does a wonderful job and is very nice to most of the customers. I have seen her kick someone out of the shop, due to saying something about the flowers or being nasty to another customer, she will not tolerate that in her shop. If you want a real person and great freah flowers, which by the way they stand behind. THis flower shop is the place for you, if you want a mundane experience go somewhere else! Had a great experience with this flower shop, the owner has personality in spades and is an EXTREMELY talented florist. If you want something beautiful this is the only florist to go to in Colma, and I've gone to many! Reading through the other reviews for this shop were extremely unhelpful. The criticisms were completely out of context. I placed an order going to the hospital. & later found out that the patient was in ICU & could not receive flowers. So I called & canceled the order. When I did I was told that it would cost 12.50 for labor & $7.00 for gas. When I told her I just wanted to cancel the whole order she went in to a frenzy & called me every name in the book & to never order from them again. her attacks were very explicit, personal & unprofessional. I got the feeling this was the business owner & I still can't believe anyone with a business would treat a customer that way. DO NOT USE THIS FLORIST! I went there about a few weeks ago to buy flowers for my mom's birthday, their variety is too cheap, would rather go to safeway if I want to buy cheap flowers. The staff doesn't seem to care about new potential customers , for some reason the employee who was there was yelling when I walked in. I have been going to this flower shop for over 5 years now. I see them once a week, since I go to Holy Cross a lot to visit my family members. I have used them for many other items, birthdays, furnerals, and just flowers for me. I would reccommed this shop to anyone who likes friendly people and great service. The whole family I think works there sometime during the week. If you want a friendly atmosphere, someone who understand your needs, go to this flower shop, you will not be disappointed. Best flower shop in the area, they provide excellent service with a smile and will do what it takes to make you happy. I found the place a little over a year ago, my father died and went in to the shop after going to Holy Cross, its right across the street from the main entrance. The lady there was so friendly during my time of need, that I have been going there ever since, I get flowers from her to take to my foathers grave site, they will actually do that for me if need be on holidays if I am not around. I have ordered flowers for across the country, each and every time has been a success. I will never go anywhere else, they are the BEST!
