Trip 2 the Zoo!! 7/10/2009

The best thing bout the Rosamond Gifford Zoo is the care for the animals. At some zoos they don't take very good care of them but here they do. Not only that but the zoo is large and there are a variaty of animals. At some zoos you get tired and want to leave in a short amount of time but there is so much to do here you could spend the whole day there. I love going to this zoo and infact i'm going in a lil bit :)....well thats y i love this zoo and thing it diserves a 5* rating!! more

Burnet Park 11/12/2005

The Rosamond Gifford Zoo is really good for the little children. They could enjoy this almost every day. On the other hand, it isn't always easy to see the animals. Some of them hide, some are put in another area, so it's kind of a hit or miss at times. The price of the zoo is also outrageous for large families on a limited income. I think there should be a family price according to the number of people in your family, with a price that is capped for families of 4 or larger. more

The Penguins are Marching 8/21/2005

With an assortment of new residents this summer including very entertaining penguins and a new elephant baby, Burnett Park Zoo is a great place to pass a summer day! Big enough to spend a few hours but not so big that it's overwhelming for children, this zoo seems to be just the right size with just the right variety of animals! There are elephants to see and pet, prized tigers, monkeys, a bird house, an aquarium (with an alligator, Nemo and Dory living there--but not together) among others, a number of choices for different animal tastes! A reciprocal member of the American Zoological Association, membership has many benefits, but even a day's visit is reasonably priced. Parking is free and plentiful! more

What can I say? I love going to the zoo and I will never tire of it. There's so many different animals to see, so many funny pictures you can take here. Hey, the biggest baby elephant was born here. THe first time I went here was for a field trip in elemetary school. The whole class walked over and we spent the whole day there. It is very kid-friendly and the whole family can enjoy a nice day here. more
