Best

I've visted this place many times before. I must say, the service is great. The bartenders know how to make a drink and the chef makes a great meal. But most of all, The Jones has...

Worst

Went their recently for happy hour and was extremely disappointed by the quality of food. Now, I know this is cheap happy hour food, but I've had much better for cheaper. Outdoo...

It's Ok....... 9/30/2006

A bit pricey for the portions & quality of food. Service slow, booths uncomfortable. Easy parking. The desserts are were the BEST items we ate. Don't miss the Chocolate Terrine. more

My Favorite Restaurant in Seattle 7/30/2006

The Jones has absolutely everything you want in a dining experience. It has a great big parking lot which is a fantastic convenience, the ambience is lovely, great staff and the food is just incredible! I love that they have big tall booths that give you a bit of privacy. \r \r We're big foodies and my husband (who is a professional chef btw) go out to eat often but this is where we keep going back to! I like that they have such a varied menu -- if you just want something casual like pizza or a sandwich with a beer it's the place to go. If you want something ""fancier"" like their tagliata or paella (both are outstanding) with a glass of wine they got you covered there too. \r \r The chocolate terrine is by far the best dessert they have. It is simply to die for. Other dishes we have sampled and loved are the the queso crispas as a starter, the chevre pizza, the flank steak sandwich (be prepared for the huge mountain of fries that come with it), and the chicken breast. I can't wait to eventually try every single thing on their menu. It's also very reasonably priced. \r \r Last time we were there we asked to speak to one of the owners (I believe the owners are a husband and wife) and immediately he came to our table. We had to tell him how fabulous our waitress was, what a great place it is and that when family comes to town that is where we'd be taking them. He was incredibly gracious and sweet and I loved that he was so accessible. It's not often that we gush to owners like that so it really says something. Pros: great parking, prices, staff Cons: not a darn thing more

No better place to go for any type of occasion 7/20/2006

Celebrations, in-law in town, or a regular Tuesday night...The Jones is the best place to go! We've been there numerous times, and have never been disappointed with anything. The service is phenomenal - friendly, prompt, and attentive. The food is equally fantastic. I recommend The Jones to anyone who asks, and some who don't! Pros: Easy parking, great service, fantastic food more

Wow. I mean, really... wow! 7/8/2006

If you haven't yet tried The Jones, get out there and do it now! This place is unbelievable. Strong and creative drinks, super friendly service, amazing food, sun-soaked patios, on-site parking, reasonable prices... they've got it all. \r \r I, like the last reviewer, ate the Tagliata (and I must say, I'm not sure why they thought that getting a petite filet for $23 is not a good value). I absolutely loved every morsel of the meat, the barley risotto and the sauce soaked tomatos. I thought seriously about skipping dessert and instead ordering another tagliata. Glad I didn't though, because the chocolate terrine I had was 2 slices of pure melt-in-your-mouth heaven.'\r \r Seriously people - go to The Jones. You will thank me. Pros: Quality, Value, Service more

I was excited after reading the reviews to try The Jones since it would be nice to go to a neighborhood location and find quality and value. It measured up to the expectation on the quality not so sure on the value. Had the Tagliata...very small tenderloin for the price but the barley risotto was excellent. Even with the desert went home hungry and I am not a big eater. Pros: Good staff, Convinientparking more

Fabulous!!!! 3/27/2006

I've fallen in love...I'm head over heels...and its with The Jones! This is a bar, a bistro, a pub and all in all the perfect place. Period. Are you in the mood for swanky drinks? Go to The Jones. Are you in the mood for a romantic dinner? The Jones. Are you in the mood for a fun night out with family or friends? You guessed it...The Jones! The food is spectacular and reasonably priced for what you're getting. The drinks are well made. And most importantly the staff is so nice! They will accomodate your needs and never make you feel like they are put out for doing so. I highly reccomend The Jones to anyone looking for a good meal! Pros: Food/Drinks, Parking, Service Cons: None, None, None more

A great place for any mood! 3/22/2006

Whether you are looking for a quiet date spot, a great place to meet friends or a place to take your family, they've got it at The Jones! I'm a huge fan of the food, the drinks and the varied atmosphere, my fiance go there by ourselves for a romantic evening and also go with friends for trivia on Sundays. There is no end to the good things I can say about their food, yummy, yummy, yummy!!! This is an unbelievable place and well worth a try!!! Pros: Food/drinks, Atmosphere, Service Cons: NONE! more

I'm selfish... 2/6/2006

I wish I could tell you that the food is terrible, or that the service is snobby and the drinks are weak. The only reason I would tell you these awful things is to keep you away from my newly found neighborhood jewel...because I'm selfish and I want to keep it all to myself! However, in keeping real to my New Years Resolution (to be less selfish) I will tell you that this is the best new find. The owners have done an incredible job with the place, hired an exceptional staff and a chef who knows how to create incomparable foods that will ruin you for all other restaurants. Pros: Ambiance, Good Eats, Great Location more

Great neighborhood spot 12/14/2005

We live in the neighborhood and have been looking for the perfect place to walk to and we finally have it. Great value for what you get and everything we've had on the menu has exceeded our expecatations. Did you know that the head chef here also happened to come from the Herb Farm? Say no more..... Pros: Neighborhood spot, excellent value, Awesome food more

More for your money! 12/6/2005

You will not find a better place in Seattle for your dollar. The drinks are for real - like you really get some liquor and tons of variety. The food is superb. Everything is freshly made daily. The combination of flavors, the texture of the food, the presentation, the quantity - it's all there in A+ fashion. Top that off with a friendly, upbeat and good looking staff - what more could you want? Ah yes, the prices are exceptionally reasonable. It truly is fine food with no pretentiousness. Down to earth delights from beginning to end. The place is filled with good energy. Pros: Parking, Outdoor patios more

Comfy Hangout 12/5/2005

I love this comfy neighborhood spot for its great food and nice by-the-glass wine selections. Their entrees are outstanding, but I also like to go just to hangout for some drinks and munchies. They have ridiculously good chicken strips (I know, they're just chicken strips, but these are just really ridiculously crunchy good) and a tangy grilled blue cheese and caramelized onion sandwich for true blue cheese lovers. Add to that their friendly service and easy parking - this is definitely a spot worth checking out! Pros: Great food, welcoming atmosphere, good value for $ more

Great Neighborhhod Spot! 12/5/2005

This is an excellent spot to get together with friends and have a wonderful dinner and a few drinks. The food is way beyond what you would expect at a neighborhood bar. The environment is cozy and the people are great. Try the Timbale, or live a sad sad life not knowing what you're missing. Pros: Food, Service, Price more

Very Neighborhood Bar 12/4/2005

The Jones is one of those rare places in Seattle that is both a neighborhood gathering spot and a fine dining establishment. I can go there on Fridays with my little girl and have a drink while she eats Risotto before bed, and then go back for late night cocktails with friends. You can enjoy a private romantic dinner in one of the large booths or gather with a dozen friends for some of the concotions from behind the bar. My wife is vegetarian, I love meat, and we have an almost 2 year old yet all three of us get an awesome meal and drinks and leave for less than we'd spend at some over-loud family place. I really love what they've done with the place. Pros: friendly, inexpensive, high quality more

A taste of heaven in Seattle 12/4/2005

There is an opening in God's kitchen because His chef now works at The Jones. Believe me when I say that I have NEVER tried better food than this, at any price, anywhere. That's it. I can't do it better justice than if you were to try it yourself. more

Cuisine to die for at a Great Value 12/4/2005

I have eaten here over 6 times now. I have tried every main entree on the menu and each is spetacular. I have even enjoyed the ordinary fare (i.e. hamburgers, etc.) The onion soup is delicious. The desserts are amazing and very reasonable. The wine and beer selection terrific. ...but the 5 or 6 main entrees are sooooo good. Definitely worth a try. I think you will be happy. Pros: Great Food, Good Value, Good Parking more

Fantastic! 11/21/2005

The Jones is our absolute favorite new restaurant/bar... 5-star food without the 5-star prices and pretentiousness. We've tried a different dish everytime we've been and EVERYTHING has been wonderful! The drinks are unique and tasty also! And the bar is a very friendly neighborhood gathering spot. Pros: Great Food & Drink, Reasonable Prices, Friendly Service more

Unbelieveable Meal! 11/19/2005

The food at The Jones is so remarkable I am almost at a loss for words. All I can say is this - you will not find a better meal for such a great price anywhere in Seattle. This little neighborhood haunt is sure to become a city-wide favorite. Pros: Fantastic Food, Comfy and Casual, Parking Lot!! more

New favorite watering hole 11/4/2005
