For a while we were having a problem with our male Eclectus ""Sir Bud."" He was getting more and more difficult and we could not figure out why. Ronie pointed out that the bird owns us and was feeling disrespected. We ascertained that he had been covered for many days at a time at his previous home. After weeks of trial and error we figured out that not only did he not want to be covered at night, he preferred the top to be removed from his ""condo"" so he doesn't feel caged. He is potty trained so we decided to leave it open. He became a wonderful bird almost overnight. He occasionally hikes to the kitchen to see if he can find treasures in the dishwasher and when he's finished he walks back to his home and climbs up on his perch for the rest of the day. He has earned our trust and we would have never figured him out without Ronie's wise advice.
