Ronda's Closet

I am on the fence about Rhonda's closet. The shop is cute and since I live in Carmel Valley, it's convenient to have a place to run in, if I don't have time to get to the mall. But, the flip side is that ""Rhonda"" and her staff are so rude. I don't feel comfortable shopping in the store, and it seems like they're really only friendly to the locals who shop there all the time, and spend tons of money. I've made a few purchases, usually cheap accessories--nothing special--mostly impulse buys. The clothing items she carries are found at any department store--nothing special. I guess I go into the store for the experience of shopping in a boutique and coming away with something different, something fun, and something not everyone else has--that isn't the case here. What would make me keep going back is if the staff were friendly and didn't leave me standing at the register like some sort of unimportant nuisance while they tried to ignore me by fidgeting with other things in the store. I agree with another reviewer who said to hit the shops in Del Mar Heights--or just go to the mall. Spare yourself the humiliation of being frowned upon for not spending enough money. why would i shop here when i could get the same things much much cheaper some where else>> i think the only reason the store is still open is because the people of carmel valley don't venture out of a 5 mile radius>> the owner will only get off her phone and assist if she is too believe you will make a huge purchase>> really bad energy in the store not too mention the lighting that blinds you when you walk in. I always pass by on my way to the grocery store but never stopped in because i thought it was just another expensive boutique. I needed a gift so i stopped in real quick and I was so happy i went in because i found some great accessories and an awesome purse for my mother. You could spend 30 minutes at the counter just looking at all of the great jewelry they have. I was having a tough decision on the purse and the employees were so helpful with helping me pick between the 2. I didn't have much time to look at all the clothing but i looked at a few shirts and they seemed very reasonably priced. I would definitely return to ronda's closet the service was excellent and i am so happy to have found a boutique that isn't ridiculously priced. Pros: close to the market, easy parking more

I had never been in this store before i live in pb and was meeting a friend for lunch and happened to stop in the store. They greated me very nicely and if i couldn't find a size they were right there to help me. I decided to get an outfit to go out in that night and Ronda helped to put my whole entire outfit together. She is great with accessories, she put things together i never would have looked at. The prices are very reasonable and they carry some great brands like joe jeans and free people, yet they carry some less expensive brands that i had never seen before but loved them. I highly recommend this store for their service and prices.\r Pros: great selection more

I have also seen many products sold their that are sold at forever 21 and charlotte russe... wierd.. They must use the same manufactor. But at forever and charlotte its $5 instead of $40! Is this illegal? Who would shop their ??? She should really start buying higher end accesories to match her clothes if she wants to keep business... Doesnt seem fair! They are so RUDE!!!! If you want to run a good business make sure you are giving your consumers what they pay for.. If I am paying $50 for earrings... I expect quality.. and I would expect the store owner to be purchasing the earrings at a reasonable cost like $20.. this means its QUALITY! There are still making a large profit! The same earrings were at Forever 21 for $7!!! This means the owner of Rondas Closet bought these earrings for $3 and sold them to me for $50.. and two days later they fell apart!!! This makes me angry and i will tell every person i know!! THIS IS GREEDY... and with greed comes KARMA more

So True!! Lately I have gone in their to look around and there is never any shoppers! Word has gotten around about the bad service, cheaply made product, and expensive price tags! Eventually stores like this one go down the tubes and this one is on their way! The lady that said she loved it and they always put her merchandise together.. i bet half the product you buy their falls apart.. and as far as the ""good energy"" comment.. Its a store not a spa! I agree... Its over priced! All my friends stear clear of the store.. Also I have been shopping there when a manager or owner has repremanded an employee out loud.....in front of customers! Great Store! I always find great looking clothes at reasonable prices! The best part is when Ronda and her employees give me outfits to try and then add accessories to complete my outfits! I always leave so happy with my purchases. I always get so many compliments when I where my outfits! I would recommend this store to anyone! I totally disagree with any negative comments made towards this store. They must have been having a bad day or something because as soon as you walk in the store you can't help but feel the positive energy!! Pros: Everything Cons: Nothing more

Worst store ever! You could go to PB and get their products for half the price! The employees are the worst... they are very very snobby! The managers and owner are hateful and could care less about any one! My advice... Go to the numerous boutiques on Del Mar Heights. Pros: lighting Cons: every thing else more

I love this store. Their accessories are always great and I can always find that extra something to complete my outfit. However, the service is not so good. At my last visit the clerk acted like she wanted to do anything but help me. As I waited at the counter to pay (for over 15 minutes) she helped other customers. I am not opposed to that, especially if they were before me. But what really got me was when she was done with them, she went on to dress a manequin even though she could see me clearly waiting at the counter with my purchases ready to pay. When she finally helped me she acted as if she was having a bad day and would really rather be anywhere other than helping me. I personally would shop here more often if I thought my business was more appreciated. My suggestion .... hire employees that have better customer service skills and like their job.
