Romano's Macaroni Grill

I have been to this Macaroni grill twice. The first time the service was awful. It took a very long time for the server to get to our table, and when he did he was not friendly at all. The bread which at other Macaroni grills is good, had a puddle of oil on top and was cold. He never once refilled our drinks during the whole meal. I sent Macaroni grill an email complaining and they sent me a 5 dollar coupon in the mail. A few months after the incident we went again. This time was even worse than the last! I ordered chicken marsala. It comes with pasta and a marsala sauce. The plate was a mess... sauce covering everything like soup. There was so much sauce. The worst part was that they had cooked it with rotten mushrooms which made everything, even the chicken taste rotten. I could not eat more than a few bites. I told the server and he offered to let me speak to a manager, but I get embarrassed very easily. I would have rather had him offer to take it off of the bill. He did not take it off of the bill and showed little concern for rotten mushrooms being used in the food. I will never go again. more

I was disappointed to see mediocre reviews for RMG. We go there pretty frequently and we've never had an issue. There is a line out the door on fridays and saturdays, so a lot of people seem to agree that the food is good and well priced. We crave the rosemary bread and there is a good variety of other dishes. Kids are allowed to write on paper table coverings and the bathroom has never been gross. Pros: Chianti, warm bread, priced well Cons: Noisy, frequently a wait more
