I've also gone to this particular restaurant twice and had almost the same experience both times. From what I could see, not every table was taken on a Friday night at 7pm, so i don't know why our waitress seemed weeded. Maybe if she hadn't been standing in the kitchen staring at the cooks, we could have gotten our appetizer or ordered our glasses of wine earlier. When she walked up to the table, all she did was write her name; she didn't even say hello! Our crab stuffed mushrooms tasted like tuna fish, heavy on the mayo. My boyfriend's chicken rigatoni came out beautiful and hot, but my chicken parm was lukewarm and the spaghetti looked hard!
When I told her it was cold, she picked it up and gave me a look like it was my fault, didn't even apologize. The meal she brought back with an apology was slightly burnt and certainly hot. I wasn't in the mood to fight and ask for a manager at that point, I simply wanted a nice night out. We ended up tipping poorly (I'm sure she didn't understand why), and filling out an online survey (the site came with the receipt) to tell them what happened.
We gave it a second chance and won't be going back there.
Pros: nice restaurant, clean, good location, has potential
Cons: basic customer service is lacking, why have an open kitchen if it's dirty and full of yelling cooks
