Who gave them the loan to serve this crud!! 8/7/2009

This place was by far the worst place me and my husband have been to ever. Whoever says this place is good must think dog food is gourmet. It tasted like we got condensed hunts sauce on overcooked pasta. The sausage was German!!!! What the hell. And not the kind you want to eat with Italian food. It was dry and tasteless. I am so glad they are closed. If they ever open up anywhere else I hope this follows them there. We were also forced to pay for food that was discusting! I ate there about a year ago or longer and just to show you how that stuck in my mind and how vile it was. But I ran across it online and still felt the urge to comment. To bad for owner we lived within walking distance and could have been regulars. Good thing though now we have Indian food !! Yum As a matter of fact I am going there to try it now! Pros: none Cons: all more

When at Roman Villa... oh wait, we'll never go back! 11/11/2008

Service has gone downhill since we first tried this restaurant several years ago. We are done giving Roman Villa a chance and we've said as much to our friends. The food is hit-or-miss (at best) and some choices are downright inedible. Owner is rude, waitstaff seems to lack training. They seem to resent special orders and charge extra on almost anything they can think of. Overpriced for the lackluster food that they serve and they make no effort to try to make the customer happy. It's as if they would rather lose a customer than lose a dollar. With this economy, that attitude needs to change or this business won't be in business for long! Steer clear of Roman Villa and try some of the other restaurants in Parker! Pros: You don't have to wait to get a seat Cons: almost everything else more

the owner needs some manners 11/10/2008

so i took a friend of mine for a glass of wine before a candle party. She decided to order the New Yoork Style White Pizza. we sat down at the bar and was greeted by a very nice bartender that knew a lot about the wine list. We got the White Pizza with a pound of ricotta cheese and absolute no flavor. With the pizza costing $16.99 after much debate between the 2 of us we decided to tell the bartender it was not what we were expecting and we just would rather have a pepperoni pizza to go (we had a candle party to go to remember!!!) The seats that we sat in we had a clear view of the whole kitchen and the owner was having a cow that we returned the pizza. With the raising of his hands it was clear that he was having a very bad day. We told them to forget the to go pizza, and to sum it up they charged us for a flavor free pizza that they threw away. I would not recomend this place to anyone, in fact the owner should think again before he starts raising his hands and is very vocale about his paying locals in front of him. Word of mouth is a lot when you have a small biz. Pros: good bartender with good wine expertise Cons: owner with a attitude more

Could there be a bigger waste of money 10/23/2008

I guess what I will mention the things that cause me to say that it is such a horrid waste of time and money. .The food up until a month ago was very good and now it is worse than a jar of ragu from the store. they seem to struggle to even get a pizza made in a reasonable amount of time but the quality is hardly worth the price. Now you can only imagine what it must be like to order an entree and hope for a edible plate of food. This place seems to follow the mood of what I believe to be the management. Warm (never hot) and cold as though they wish I would leave. Run dont walk away from this place it is just one more disappointment in a long list of places that should just lock the doors. Pros: That I know to avoid it. Cons: That I will never get that portion of my life back more

DO NOT EAT AT ROMAN VILLA!!!!! 7/16/2008

So we just got done eating there (Thursday night at 6:30pm) and it was totally dead! While we were waiting for our food the table next to us complained of having a piece of plastic in thier pizza. I though "wow that's gross". The our food came and on my husbands first bite of chicken alfredo he choked on an inch long piece of bone. We told the waiter who took it to the manager who came out and treated us like "dude it's just a chicken bone" and he said "well that happens" and we got our bill and they charged us full price. My husband got to eat no food and still had to pay for it. They didn't even offer to replace it with something else! This place is a joke. I have never written a review but I was so upset I decided there is a first time for everything. I will never eat there again and will tell everyone I know never to eat there too!!!!!!!! Pros: local Cons: everything!!!!!! more

BEST Italian and Pizza I have ever had 5/6/2008

Those previous two reviewers have no idea what they are talking about. This Restaurant is FABULOUS. My family has been there many times and we have NEVER had a bad experience or bad food. They serve homemade food that is fresh and flavorful. The dishes are made to order so the sauces are made fresh. The pizza is better than anyone's, especially in Parker. If you want excellent food at good prices in a small and comfortable atmoshpere, Roman Villa is the place to go. Everyone I have recommended has agreed with me so if you haven't been there yet, you should give Roman Villa a Try. Pros: Great food, feel like family Cons: Could be a little bigger to offer more space, patio would be nice. more

Bad customer service 5/2/2008

Iam responsible for arranging several large dinner parties throughout the year and for some reason I decided too give roman villa a shot, Big mistake. Whoever the wannabe chef is running around the dinning area needs to find a new line of work because he is not so good at his current job. Bottom line is with the rate at which restaurants are closing in parker I guess I expected more . The food was not real good and the customer service was really poor.I will not spend another dime at this restaurant and I will arrange future dinner parties elsewhere. Double thumbs down on the roman village, or villa,,,,, whatever.R Marken.. Parker Colorado Pros: location Cons: ownership more

Well I heard of this place through a friend and was not pleased!!!!!! The service was slow, my food was wrong and cold, and the dessert was from a box,and stale. I saw the cooks come from the kitchen and they looked so dirty, i wonder who would eat there. Well I won't be back. The worst dinner i ever had and I wouldn't even give it to my dog.well what do I expect they were empty at 7:30 pm. Pros: when it was over Cons: when i saw my food more

Fantastic Pasta 5/26/2007

I've been here several times and have yet to have a bad experience. Service is not too attentive but not too lazy. Many of their pastas are homemade and truly taste it. I would rate their pasta and Caesar salad above almost any other Italian restaurant in the Denver metro area. They have a good wine list and a good dessert menu. You don't see too many Italian places with cannoli on the menu, so it's a nice change. Parker does not have its share of nice, tasty restaurants, so this is a great place to come if you live in Parker. However, I'd say it is worth the drive, even if you don't live here. Pros: Great pasta, easy parking, great desserts Cons: Service can be a little weak more

Chef/Owner presents authentic cuisine--sauces, pasta and pizza 2/26/2007

Are you getting tired of Corporate Food? Do you wonder how much of that food has preservatives and wasn't prepared fresh? The owner of this Villa Romat prepares his own food, bakes his own bread and chooses his wine list. This is NOT a chain run by a corporation like Olive Garden which ships a lot of its food from a food factory. He makes his own pasta, it doesn't come out of a box. We go to Roman Villa quite often and it is never a disappointment. This is a place where the owner/chef will come out to see how you are enjoying the food. Does that tell you anything? The wait staff are always available if you need anything, and they don't hover over your table. If you like pizza, his crust actually tastes great at this alititude and beats other restaurants that serve premade crusts or cardboard like crusts. The prices of things on the menu are also reasonable that a family can afford. When you eat at Roman Villa you are supporting a family owned establishment, not a corporation. I heartily recommend it. Pros: Fresh made food that tastes like Italy Cons: Not open at lunch more

I'd rather be at Olive Garden... and I really enjoy the family owned joints! Unfortunately, Roman Villa missed the mark. Upon arrival, 3 servers passed us without acknowledging us and we had obviously just arrived, standing at the hostess podium, jackets still on. The food was really nothing spectacular, we did not bother to take our leftovers home. Very large portions for the price, but just not tasty. After dinner beverages and desserts were not much better. The cappuccino tasted instant and desserts pre-made, maybe purchased at Cost-co? The service was barely adequate, most of the servers seemed more interested in talking to each other than providing exceptional service. I really wanted to like this restaurant, but in terms of food quality, service, and value... i would not recommend. Pros: easy to find, parking available, extensive wine list Cons: The food and service more

Great food, great value, great service! 2/12/2007

We had a great experience at Roman Villa! The bread is hot and fresh from the oven, the service is friendly but not overbearing, and the portions are huge! Everything we ordered was delicious and flavorful. We went on a Saturday evening and were seated right away. This truly is a hidden jem in Parker! We will definitely go back, and recommend to our friends! Pros: Prompt seating, friendly staff, live music! more

Local favorite for great Italian food with genuine personal attention. 1/25/2007

When you enter there is bistro and bar seating, large group and intimate dining spaces. Offering you a casual to formal place to your liking in which to enjoy a local chef's creations. Whether you are alone with friends, family or busness associates the owners and staff greet and serve you like special guests. The wine selections are excellent and well priced (the lowest priced Chianti is a winner!). The house dressing salad with blue cheese crumbles and fresh hot bread is a great beginning. The pasta dishes range from rich and creamy to robust red and spicy (if you love wicked hot the Fra is the one!). The perfectly done meat and seafood additions are a must (the salmon is my particular favorite). Finish with a chocolate lava cake or decadent tiramasu (don't foget to ask for a shot of Kahlua to pour around the edge!). more

A taste of Italy close to home with a wonderful atmosphere! 1/25/2007

Love Roman Villa! After visiting Italy and tasting all that it has to offer, it is great to come home to a GOOD twist on Italian food. The martinis never fail to impress. If you are an Olive Garden person, you should try Roman Villa, it is comprably priced and a million times better, more romantic, more relaxing, and is just a good way to end your day, plus you'll be helping out a local small business. The service is excellent; if you don't want to see the servers and bussers, but if you're looking to strike up a conversation they are more than willing, Don't pass by looking for a big chain restaurant. Again the prices are reasonable (especially with how much food you get) and the atmosphere is unbeatable. Pros: Great atmosphere, awesome food, good for families, couples, and groups Cons: Underappreciated more

Excellent non-chain dining. 1/4/2007

Unfortunately it's the best kept secret in Parker. This quaint, romantic italian restaurant is perfect for virtually any occasion. The food is superior, the wine list is excellent and the service is above average. Bill, the owner/chef generally makes it a point to check-in with you without interrupting your dining experience. Children are welcome; however, the restaurant is set up as such that you don't really notice the other diners around you. We love going here whether it's to sit at the bar or for dinner, it's consistently pleasant. Pros: food, wine, ambience - it reminds you of a neighborhood Italian restaurant. Cons: Would like smaller portions available. more

Great family owned restaurant 1/4/2007

A great dining experience. Nice to find a non chain restaurant close to home that is reasonably priced with great tasting italian food. Very clean, with courteous wait staff and an owner that comes out of the kitchen to visit with his guests. We plan on making it one of our regular stops and would recommend that others do the same so this jewell doesn't dissappear because of all the chain restaurants the have to compete with. Pros: nice atmosphere, good service, reasonable prices Cons: lunch parking can be a little restricted, evenings okay. more
