Roly Poly, with its unassuming storefront sharing the block with the much more famous Elephant and Castle, tends to be overlooked by the average lunchgoer in the Financial District. Boy, are they missing out, this place is fantastic! The staff there is super friendly and helpful, and the food is great. Even on a slow, Financial District Friday, where everything's ready to be closed down, the veggies are still super-fresh and the wraps are still tasty and delicious. I'm not a picky eater but I'm very particular; if I find something I like I stick to it every time. Still, this place's menu for a lunch spot is creative and adventurous enough for me to try something new every time I head there. That's a really great sign when it comes to my lunching habits. So instead of going to the normal Financial District lunch spots, go out of your way to give this place a try; you will definitely not regret it. Pros: They do just about everything well. Cons: Might not have much on Fri, but everything's so good more

OMG I am absolutely obsessed Roly Poly (four times this week alone). Here's why... First off, it's CHEAP. A small roll up is under $4, seriously. Otherwise you can get out of there for around $7 for a bigger meal. Second, it's super fresh. Like you had made it at home were you to have the time or inclination. Third, they have a large variety of vegetarian options. Good ones! I mean wow, I don't have to eat the one sad veggie option on the menu. It helps that this is convenient to my office in DTX and that the staff is always pleasant and patient as I stare blankly at the wall mulling over my options. This is an excellent addition to the area and I'll be back many more times. Pros: Affordable, Healthy(ish), Vegetarian Options Cons: Not in my belly right now more
