I love roller blading here. Between the fresh air and the view of the water, the smooth surface and the silly music, his place is always fun. Of course, I'm a coward who can't stand to rollerblade on uneven pavement, so I'm always looking for rinks like this. The price is right too -- very cheap, and even skate rental if you don't own isn't bad at all. more

Ice skating near the river?! 1/13/2006

Yes, that's right, you can be both directly looking out on the Hudson River and enjoying a lovely ice skating experience at the magnificent and hugely spacious Chelsea Piers. It's a lovely place to take your kids or to go on a date or just to kill some time. It's not inexpensive, but it's a really fun time. more
