Doctor Slaughter is one of the best people, and is excellent with the animals. My dog just LOVES him! But the receptionist needs to be fired, quite frankly. She is unnecessarily rude, and needs to be taught some people skills. I have NEVER been spoken to in such a rude manner from ANY person working in ANY part of the medical profession, even from a receptionist. more

I absolutely love Dr. Slaughter!! He is a wonderful vet. I drive from Kingsport to have him care for my pets. Only downfall is his secretary. She is rude, smart mouthed, and short with you. I called to verify the time for my cats app and asked if he could go ahead and spay her while he was removing her claws. She told me that I should have scheduled that originally. I agreed with her and explained I just wanted to check and see if he had time and if he didn't I understood. Then snidely she replied that I should see a vet in Kingsport since I live there. WTH? I have been going to Slaughter for 20 years. She won't detour me from continuing to take my pets to Slaughter, but I REALLY dislike that woman. more

Excellent!!! 6/7/2009

For over 21 years John Slaughter has been my veterian. He has taken care of Penny my Yorky( who is deseased now0 She lived for 15 years with good care. i now have my second yorky ( Goldy Hawn who is 6 now. Thank You, i appreciate all your care and help.
