Rudest staff ever 6/27/2009

I've never been treated so rudely in my whole life. I will never go there again even if the food is good. It's not worth the price of being openly treated as a dumb. Also they accept cash only but they don't inform you on the phone or on the website. I am so disappointed! more

Best Thai food AND best Thai food price in the country! 10/25/2007

My wife and I recently have moved away from Brookline/New England after living there for 7 years, and hands down the restaurant we miss the most is Rod Dee. Granted there is no parking (we used to just walk down from our Beacon St. apartment), the space inside is best described as a ""hole in the wall"" (I used to wait outside in my big winter coat as my wife would sneak through the crowd to snatch our take out order), and we used to fight over who would call in the order since the english was ""not always so good"" (although in 7 years they never got it wrong), this was the tastiest and most inexpensive Thai food we have ever had, period. We have lived all over the country and never have found a place where 6 bucks got you a huge styroform dish of curry, rice, and chicken (I am a 6'5"", 215, and a single massaman curry chicken put me down) that was not only inexpensive, but also incredibly tasty (try the massaman extra spicy - my favorite!). We loved the star noodles, pik pow fried rice, garlic chicken, and occasionally even some of the appetizers. We may miss Boston, but we ache for Rod Dee! Pros: Best Thai food and Thai food price, hands down Cons: No parking, try to avoid eating in (go with take out) more

best thai food in boston 11/7/2006

Some of the best Thai food in Boston. Authentic, well-prepared, and CHEAP! It doesn't matter that there's little seating or that the seating there is cramped or that you clear your own dishes because the food is amazing and will have you coming back for more! Highly Recommended. Pros: Delicious thai food, cheap, take-out more

THE GREATEST! 11/22/2005

I've had Thai far and wide but never found a better value than Rod Dee. The ingredients are high quality, the prices are low, and the flavors delightful. Try the curries! more

Love It! 9/21/2005

I've tried every Thai place in Brookline, and every time I leave feeling the same way, a little disappointed. That all changed once I ordered from Rod Dee. For more than half the price of the other places, I got more then enough food. The Pad Thai is great, the star noodle dish is my favorite, and the dumplings are addicting. I would put Rod Dee's food up against any fancy sit down in Brookline! Pros: Food, Cheap, Delivers more

Spicy! Colorful! Delicious! 1/23/2003

I absolutely love the food at Roddee!! Their basil fried rice is out of this world! I only wish that the people at the counter were nicer... Their rude faces and attitude detrcts from my eating experience... However if you opt for takeout you avoid all this and get to enjoy their fabulous food! Just a heads up, if you are ordering something not on the menu (like crispy chicken) make sure to let them know you know the price! They will try to charge you differently everytime...it seems they make their prices as they go! more

Tasty Thursdays 12/24/2002

make sure you order the Steamed Chicken on Garlic Rice which is a special only available on Thursdays. BEST DISH there. i also luv the Cripsy Chicken on rice. YUMMY! best thai food & affordable, even tho generally, i'm not a fan of thai food. Pros: great food, fast food, affordable Cons: no parking more

Great food and service, easy to find parking. Everything looked good. Authentic Thai food. Lucky to eat here, most ""Thai"" places have a lot of American-Chinese food on the menus! Reasonable prices. Pros: inexpensive, great food, good parking Cons: nothing bad to saiy more
