This museum has a much more intimate feel to it, and allows you to get up close and personal to the exhibits. Exhibits change regularly, and include everything from 'quilts by men' to some historically rare (and important) pieces. Friendly docents give free tours -- extremely helpful for learning more about the quilts' style, makers and importance. RMQM would give any gallery or museum in the area a run for its money, in terms of quality and graphic presence. (In fact, most don't have the high standards of quilts seen here.) Take a minute to visit the store, as well.
A great place to spend a morning or an afternoon -- tie it in with a visit to the gallery of Quilter's Newsletter, just down the road in Golden.
Pros: regularly changing exhibits, graphic pieces, good store
Cons: smaller museum, no evening hours
