Rocky Hill Sunoco

This is a great place! The convienent store is very clean (which is important because a lot of convenient stores these days are filthy!) The employees really go above and beyond with everything! They are very thorough and Paul (the owner) is both very friendly and very fair. The pricing is fantastic!!! I once brought my car to a local auto-body shop in my area, and they were asking for almost $600 for routine maintenance, Paul did the job for under $250!!! I highly reccomend this place to anyone, even if it's a little out of you way!!! more

I was referred to Rocky Hill Sunoco by another mechanic because he couldn't do the specific work I needed done on my Audi. This was 5 years ago. I now have all of my service work done at Rocky Hill Sunoco, even though I live in Meriden. more

Seven years ago I got towed to Paul's shop on a Sunday and they were great and fair. I lived too far away to utilize the shop at that time. Now i live in Wethersfield and am sooo happy that there is a reliable shop to take my car. I have never had a problem with feeling that I was being ""taken"" or being talked in to work I didn't need done. Also , as a woman it is priceless to have a mechanic that you can trust . I would highly recommend Rocky Hill Sunoco for every thing from an oil change to major work, both of which I have had done here Pros: peace of mind that you are not being taken more

They don't do what they say they will do. I took my car in and asked them to check everything to make sure all was in good working condition. I had an appointment and I waited, 2 1/2 hours. They did less than one hour of labor. Didn't check the air conditioning, which was not working, didn't check the driver's side taillight, which also was not working. They told me I needed a transmission service, put in a new battery (because I had to be towed in on my way to the appointment with them) and called it a day. They did less than one hour of work and had me waiting for 2 1/2 hours? Hello? Ding, ding, ding!!! My husband brought the car back to them and they ""serviced"" the air conditioning. They put up to 1lb of R134A freon in and scanned the ECM. That's not ""servicing"" the air conditioning. Tomorrow I have to take the car BACK yet AGAIN because now the car will not start after using the A/C, which they ""SERVICED"" for $100.00 already. By the way, I had the Transmission checked by another, reliable service station, they checked it twice and said it doesn't need servicing. Why am I taking it back tomorrow? Because they didn't do their job the first time for $100.00, and they better fix it, for free!! Oh yeah, don't take your VW there. He doesn't like VWs. Pros: Within walking distance to where I live Cons: Bad service, taking money for no job done more
