I actually found Michelle on this site, back in June when I first moved to SD for school. I'm a regular waxer, but even back home, it still hurt considerably. BUT, Michelle is absolutely great! She doesn't hurt at all, and a brazillian is no easy wax. I'd recommend her to anyone in a heart beat. And she's great conversation too! Pros: EVERYTHING! more

I was part of a birthday bash that booked the Glam-bam-thank-you M'aam party package from rockstar.We had a suite at a great hotel and the party came to us. Our services included waxing and airbrush tans. We had cocktails in hand when the ladies arrived . The set-up was quick and easy and they handled our rowdy bunch of girls with no problem at all. We all had a great time and felt very VIP! The results were fantastic and I would do this again in a heartbeat. Pros: good time, great results more

OMG! Rockstar is the best! I got a tan from Michelle for an event I was attending and it looked amazing! The pictures turned out incredible and everyone wanted to know what my secret was .... Rockstar, Baby! I also get my brows done by Michelle on a regular basis and am always thrilled by how fast I am in and out and looking fabulous! Rockstar rocks! Pros: Love it! Will definately be going back soon. more

I've been going to Michelle @ rockstar for 3 years now and get so many compliments on my brows. I just tried the spray tan for the first time and I am hooked!\r Wouldn't go anywhere else:-) Pros: great service and very professional Cons: location is not traditional...but very nice lofty atmosphere more

Great Value 5/7/2008

Great airbrush tan and very reasonably priced. The place was cute and clean and my tan was flawless. I learned a few tricks to make my color last longer and picked up a great shimmer lotion for that J.Lo ""glow""\r I will absolutely come back for another tan. Pros: great vibe, very relaxed Cons: parking lot was full (but it was noon) more

Michelle is amazing, you will leave and feeling beautiful and pampered. I had the spray tan for my first time, and every person who talks to me has commented on my gorgeous tan. It is flawless and I love it! No more tanning beds for me, thanks michelle! more

Best Spray Tan 5/4/2008

I have had many spray tans over the years and I am always left feeling like I will be outted any minute as a fake! Not with Michelle at Rockstar!! This is the best, most natural spray tan I have ever gotten. It lasts more than a week and I get so many compliments on my skin. It is quick, not messy and looks like a million bucks! Oh, and by the way, it doesn't cost a million. You will be very happy with the price. Pros: great vibe when you are in the spa. Michelle is very professional, but relaxed. more

yummy spray tan!! 5/2/2008

I needed a savage tan quick and I was not disappointed! My friend said that the spray tan at rockstar was the best ever, but for whatever reason I hadn't tried it yet. You need an appointment for sure but i got in pretty quickly and had a great experience. The tan was perfect and looked like I had just been basking in the sun....shhhhh nobody knows it was a spray :-)\r \r I have to say, this is a very quick and easy fix for those days when you just KNOW life would be better if you were tan! Pros: really nice, clean and quick Cons: can't think of any more

great facial 1/8/2008

I went in expecting a decent facial and thought that I would just relax for an hour. Well, I got a great facial and my skin keeps getting better. I had my treatment a week ago and have used all of the samples that I was given and as promised....my skin has changed! (for the better)\r I was expecting to leave a little bit red and blotchy and figured I would hide out for the rest of the day. Not the case at all. My skin was absolutely glowing when I left and now I can't stop thinking about my next appointment.\r I got the enzyme peel. Pros: a facial with RESULTS Cons: parking is limited to the street more

Nice littel find in East County 8/9/2007

I went to RockStar today after reading all the reviews. I had a facial with Danielle. She was very nice and sweet. I got the pumkin facial-which smells great. The salon is hip and trendy and I like that it is small and not overcrowded. Who knew east county would have a cute spa like this. I also ended up buying some products and a really nice necklace. I liked that there was no pressure sales. The products speak for themselves. I will definitley be going back real soon. Pros: That it is small ,private. and clean. Staff is very friendly Cons: None that I can think of more

great brow wax 5/6/2007

I had heard some good stuff about rockstar and decided to finally go in and see what this place was all about for myself. My friend has been talking it up for over a year, but I was dragging my feet for whatever reason. Anyway, finally went in and decided to just get the brows taken care of.......WOW, was I ever happy! After chatting for a few minutes and looking at some pictures my girl made her recommendations and started working. The wax was different than what I'd had in the past and I was not even a little bit red when it was finished. THe brow shape is absolutely perfect! I've rec'd lots of compliments and feel totally ""finished"" with my great new brows. Pros: clean,friendly,cool place Cons: a bit hard to find-drove right by it! more

The atmosphere alone is enough to keep anyone coming back! Its fresh, hip and FUN! The airbrush tanning at Rockstar is impeccable and flawless. There are so many options to choose from, and even a shimmery finish as well! When the event calls for bronzed skin, Rockstar is who I call and trust to make me look fabulous.... Pros: She is open 5 days and at almost anytime!!! Cons: Wish I had the key so I could sneek in there afterhours and play!! more

Luscious Lashes 4/26/2007

SInce I got my eyelash extensions I have had SO MANY compliments! I needed to find somewhere in San DIego to get them done since I didn't want to keep driving to OC for my fix. This salon is super cute and the staff is awesome. My eyelash extensions look great and stay on forever!!! Danielle is very skilled and had me totally done and on my way very quickly. I will never get my lashes done anywhere else again.Go see Danielle @ rockstar and you can have luscious lashes, too!\r \r *Bonus* She gives you your first touch-up FREE!!! Great spray tan! 4/5/2007

I wanted a spray tan that looked great, not fake. My friend had been into rockstar before and really recommended them. I called to book my appt. and they told me how to prep for the tan....what to exfoliate with and what to avoid. My tan looked better than I had even imagined. It lasted a full week and looked really natural. Pros: They have a little boutique with candles,gifts, makeup Cons: Michelle(the owner) is booked for weeks....so make your appt. and keep it! more

I have been going to rockstar since they opened and have never been happier with my skin. I suffered with adult acne for years and had tried almost everything to get my skin under control. I started with a peel series and began using a homecare system. My skin looks amazing now and nobody believes that I used to have cystic acne. Best facial and waxing EVER!!!! 4/2/2007

Loved this salon...was not what I expected to find in East County. The girl's were really nice and Michelle really helped get my skin on the right track. I had to actually grow my eyebrows out instead of getting them waxed the first time. They showed my how to fill and shape my poor anorexic brows while they grew back in. It was worth it though....got some killa brows now!\r LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place :-) Pros: Very professional service and high end products Cons: none that I saw more
