I am sorry but I can't stop laughing about the allergic to cats review. It's a vet clinic. Whether cats are running around the clinic, in the back, or in the waiting room, you're going to react. It seems pretty commonplace for clinics to have resident pets. My dog receives top-notch care at this hospital and that goes from the receptionists to the doctors and anywhere in-between. more

Nice, but take your allergy meds first. 7/20/2010

My first impression of the Rockford Road Animal Hospital was positive. The staff was kind, the decor was updated and the office overall had a nice feel. I waited quite awhile once in the room, which isn't that big of a deal. As I sat there, I started having all the tell-tale signs of an allergy attack - my nose was running, ear canals itching, and my chin was starting to itch (strange, yes I know). Upon leaving to check out, I noticed a cat on the counter right in front of me. When I asked about them, the receptionist informed me that they had 3 (or 4 - can't remember) office cats that had ""the run of the place"" - I think that this is a bit inconsiderate due to the large amount of people allergic to cats. Pros: Dr. Hanson is professional, & friendly - Nice staff Cons: ""House cats"" roam the office more

Great Care, Great People! 5/14/2010

We're so glad we chose RRAH to care for our 2 beagles. All of the staff we have ever met are the nicest people who genuinely love animals. We brought both our dogs there starting when they were little pups. They always get a lot of love & attention there, the staff really seem to look forward to seeing and playing with them; the dogs are not at all afraid to go to the vet. The staff are great on the phone with any questions or concerns, also gave great follow up care after both dogs got fixed. We wouldn't take them anywhere else! Pros: Great staff who really love dogs! more

True Animal Lovers 1/3/2008

For people who really care for the pets, there is no other place like Rockford Road Animal Hospital. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable. They are also not afraid to help with making the difficult decisions and weighing all possible options when it comes to the care of your pet. We unfortunately had to put one of our dogs down due to old age (and bad hips) and the staff was very compassionate during this difficult time. more
