I don't know if it's attributable to the Glenwood South revival or what, but the Rockford continues to get unnecessarily sassy with each successive visit. The food continues to be decent and well-priced, and the bar is allright. However, service continues to decline, which is strange considering the fact that most of the wait/bar staff has been there for several years (Rockford must give its employees health insurance-that's the only thing I can figure). The last time we were there, one of the waitresses all but threw a hissy fit when a couple we were meeting pulled some chairs up to our table, which is pretty standard convention at most restaurants that I've been to (then again, I'm from DC, not Raleigh, the city that never sleeps).
I hope that Rockford will re-invest itself collectively in better wait staff/customer relations, because they've slipped considerably in that department
Pros: good food, good prices, nice decor
Cons: , decline in service
